Cabin On The River

The cabin, property and on the water was exactly what we had hoped it would be. Absolutely beautiful inside and out! We felt right at home. Landon was friendly, and stayed in communication reassuring us if we had any additional needs to reach out.

Great place to stay. Quiet, cozy, plenty to do within a short drive while still feeling removed from it all. Great for a couple or small group of friends to stay at.
My only complaint was the pictures did not accurately represent how steep the stairs were to the bottom floor where the rest of the beds are. Definitely not safe for toddlers. This was made clear in the check-in instructions but it should be noted on the listing to parents are well aware they should bring some sort of safety gate with them (or provide one for guests to use) before agreeing to pay for the rental.
Aside from that, it's a lovely home with very responsive hosts and I would happily stay again.

What a great spot on the water to enjoy nature. The amazing outside patio area and access to the water's edge were delightful. The cabin was modern with great views from the porch, providing everything you need to unwind. It was private enough, with one neighbor 100 yards away and a few staggered on the other side of the creek. The dirt road is close to the house, but only a few cars pass by each day, making it a great place to walk and ride bikes. Hope to stay again.

Gorgeous space!! We went for our honeymoon. It was my first time using Air B&B so I wasn’t sure if you’d get the same experience as looking at photos of hotel rooms on line and then being let down once you check in- this place was even more beautiful than the photos! Landon answered all of my questions promptly before I booked and even checked in with us during the stay. I’m hopeful to be able to stay here again in the future, it’s the perfect secluded get away.

Peaceful and private, the sound of the creek was very nice. Just a couple of small hiccups—to get the hot water in the shower you have to leave it in the cold position, which made for a very cold first shower because we didn’t know this. There was no split firewood to use outside, either. Neither of these are a huge deal, but they could be easily resolved.

Had a wonderful and quiet 5 nights here! I live in the city so getting away to a place that does not have much noise or many lights is a treat. The cabin was the perfect size for my partner and I and it had all the amenities we needed for cooking. The bathroom was better equipped than any hotel room I have stayed in! Slept well in the loft bed with lots of soft blankets. The area is beautiful and we will definitely be back. Landon was a gracious host and very responsive and we recommend this place highly!

My family and I enjoyed our time away at Landon's Cabin. It was the perfect few days of rest and relaxation.
We enjoyed using the firepit, bikes and playing corn hole. The time spent together outside was wonderfully relaxing.
Sipping coffee on the porch in the mornings while listening to wildlife and the sounds of the babbling brook were amazing.
Hope to come back again and utilize the kayaks during the warmer weather.
Landon was very communicative and reached out several times during our stay. I highly recommend his place.

What a beautiful place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. So relaxing, peaceful and private. We have a great time and actually didn't want to leave. We had a steak dinner by the campfire. We made s'mores, using Reese cups and roasted hot dogs. Just can't say enough about this place. Will definitely be going back!!!! Thank you so much for offering your cabin to guests. Loved the campfire and the lights. Just made the night fires. Cabin so cozy. Felt like we were home.

We had a lovely last minute stay at Landon's place and it could not have been more perfect. Super clean home, great layout for our family of 4 and beautiful surroundings. Great place to disconnect and unwind. Enjoyed throwing some rods in the water, playing cornhole, watching movies, and generally just relaxing. Great location and very clean. 2 of the chairs by the fireplace had slats missing and we couldn’t use them, but there were plenty for us. Just noting as something that could likely be fixed easily. Wasn’t an issue as all of us loved the place. Landon sent emails and made process very easy.

I soon we got to the cabin my kids was so happy , we loved the cabin it beautiful, so clean that's one of the reason I look only for Superhost, the communication was good and fast , my favorite thing was sitting in the morning with my coffee and listening to the birds ,the weather was perfect, if you ask me if I would love to go back my answer will be yessss. I think the only thing I will add is another TV in the basement since the kids was arguing for the TV. other than that the place is just PERFECT and I really really recommend it, my stayed was with my 15 year old boy and my 10 year old girl. they really loved the place . This is the epitome of a cozy cabin! The location was perfect and the surroundings were beautiful. The cabin and its surroundings looked even more beautiful in snow! The layout of the cabin was very good. Even though Landon mentioned in the listing that the cabin is not child/ toddler proof (and it is not because of the loft and basement) we managed just fine with 3 toddlers! Overall a fantastic experience and we are looking forward to going back in summer when we will be able to use the fire pit/ kayak and bikes!

Absolutely loved it. My wife and I were looking for a place to get away for a few days and do nothing. This was exactly what we were looking for. Great views. Nice, cozy place to stay. Very comfortable. We succeeded at doing nothing. Landon was fantastic. Perfect level of communication. The parking area was a bit icy, which was not unexpected for the time of the year, however, someone came out and salted it without us having to say anything. Overall a great experience. We look forward to coming back in warmer weather to sit on the front porch and just watch the creek. Thank you again.

Great, secluded location with nice views of Penns Creek. Actually accommodated 6 adults with some creativity. Patio/fire pit area is the best feature. Well designed and constructed with great view of river. Kitchen had everything we needed. Good access to breweries, PSU, hiking and fly fishing up river.

This house was perfect, exactly what I expected. The property is beautiful and the view is as good as it gets in the Pennsylvania woods. We really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and playing games around the table at night. The house was cozy and comforting, a winter oasis. We will be back in the summer to enjoy the creek and bike around the woods. PLUS it is located next to Bald Eagle State Forest, truly a stunning area.

My husband and I stayed here for a birthday weekend getaway. While we were there, we talked so much about how perfect this property would be to come back to with our kids. The walk down to the creek is a little steep, but older kids could manage without a problem, and all ages could have endless hours of fun down there playing.
The house was immaculate and provided all the basics for our stay.
We went for numerous walks down the dirt road and spent hours at the fire area in the evening. When you couldn’t see the creek, you could still hear it, and it was the most peaceful setting.
Landon checked in with us when we arrived Friday and was obviously available for any need we might have.
We will absolutely return!

Beautiful cabin with spectacular views! We loved the fire pit set up and being able to hear the babbling river. The house was very clean and had everything we needed including hand soap, TP and paper towels! I’m a stickler for cleanliness so that made me extra happy. We brought our e-bikes and hit some of the local rail trials which were great! We also enjoyed the nearby wineries and breweries. Got together to celebrate a milestone birthday and visit with old college friends. The cabin was adorable and magical. The exterior is charming with party lights by the fire-pit, Adirondack chairs in various locations, and a porch swing with a perfect view of the stream. The interior was comfy/cozy/well-appointed. The spiral staircase is quite steep, just be careful. The kitchen has everything you'll need. We saw four deer at close range and lots of interesting birds. It was too rainy to hike or bike or kayak. But we just enjoyed the setting to hang out and reminisce.

I wanted a low key and relaxing weekend away with my husband and two children and that is exactly what I got! Landon was an amazing host. Everything was easy, easy, easy. The cabin was well stocked and cuter than any picture could ever capture. My kids, who are 11 and 12, loved the bunk room and the firepit area and my husband had a wonderful fishing experience. The only warning I have is that the steps between levels would be very challenging for those with young children. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to escape to for a couple days and we will probably return!

The cabin and property are absolutely gorgeous! The layout was extremely unique yet cozy. We enjoyed all the amenities that were included. The kitchen was stocked very well with everything needed to cook our meals. The best part was that the cabin sat so close to the river. The sound of the water while sitting by the fire pit was so calming. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the kayaks, but we did enjoy riding the bicycles on the dirt road. OMG I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here. This home was beyond clean and the view of the river is to die for! Just sitting on the porch listening to the sound of the river and birds was enough. We enjoyed the fire pit and privacy of the home. Lots of areas to just sit back and relax. Not having to bring towels or linens was a huge plus!! So much offered for a wonderful price. My whole family had an amazing relaxing and memorable time. Landon, the owner, was always available to answer our questions. We definitely will stay again.

The cabin is a perfect getaway. We saw a lot of wild animals dears, turtle, a lot of birds in the river…, sunrise are the best moments to appreciate this place. A farm close by provide great food as well! We came with my 6 months baby, that was the only challenge because stairs a very steep as mentioned. The place is really clean, plenty of towels, everything you need for cooking is in the kitchen! I recommend this beautiful experience in the woods.

We wanted to get away and enjoy nature in a quiet, serene setting. This cabin offers exactly that! The sound of the running water soothes you as you stare off into the ripples and enjoy the breeze. The cabin was wonderful, and we had a great stay. The accommodations were as described; however, you should note that the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are extremely steep and are more like a ladder, making nighttime bathroom trips a bit of a challenge. Also, the wifi is very slow - we found it difficult to watch streaming movies or have a video call. Since we came to disconnect, this was less of a concern, but it should be noted for future visitors since I could not work from my laptop if needed. The location is wonderful- the cabin is within 30 minutes of many hiking trails. Landon checked in on us throughout our visit and was very responsive when we asked questions. We did not get a chance to use the provided kayaks since the water was too low when we visited.

I had so much fun here with my family! It was definitely challenging keeping a one year old away from the steep stairs (which was noted in the cabin’s description) but to my surprise, there were a couple bins of toys as well as a chalkboard wall that kept my daughter content with being downstairs. There was plenty of firewood for us to cook on the fire all 4 nights of our stay. (We brought a rack to cook on). The kitchen included everything we could possibly need. There were plenty of extra towels and blankets. We spent a lot of time on the patio and the deck and saw plenty different kinds of birds, a snake, and even a raccoon. The sunrise and sunset on the river were gorgeous sights to see every morning and night. We loved everything about this place and we will definitely be back!

A truly beautiful location with the sound of the river and of lovely outside space. We went to town and found a wonderful little bakery to buy a birthday cake and also enjoyed jogging and walking along the rail to trail line. Very well decorated, super clean and very welcoming.

The house was spotless upon arrival, and the check-in process was seamless. It was the perfect getaway for my husband and me, as we love nature and the forest. Penn's Creek is *right there*, and while my husband didn't have any fly fishing from the cabin area, we did explore the area quite a bit and look forward to returning. The bed is phenomenal. I haven't slept that well in a very long time, and enjoying morning coffee outside on the amazing firepit/patio area was a great way to start the day! I can't recommend it enough, and is a perfect getaway to relax, recharge, and enjoy the amazing surroundings!

I can say without a doubt that I have never sat out on a deck and had the pleasure of seeing a Bald Eagle fly past just above a creek. That alone made this stay exceptional. The cabin invited total peace and relaxation. We didn’t want to leave and ended up grilling out and eating outside creek side both nights rather than going to restaurants. The property is so well appointed (including bikes and kayaks!) we can’t suggest adding a thing. True, the stairs up to the bedroom loft and down to the second bedroom are quite steep. Even so, my husband, who found this challenging, was the first to say he wanted to return for another stay. And we will!

We loved this cabin! The cabin was exactly like the pictures and was really clean. Five of us ladies came for a girls weekend, went to Shade Mountain Winery and just relaxed by the fire! It was the relaxing getaway we all needed! Definitely would recommend this property and would considering returning again!

The house is really cute. We enjoyed two fires in the fire pit while we were there. The kitchen had everything I needed. The cabin is set high off Penn's Creek, however the way down to the water is steep and a bit slippery. Perhaps a stout rope tied from tree to tree would assist in getting to the water. Fall is not a good time for fishing so perhaps some literature on where to look up the best times to fish the creek and where the fishing "holes" are would be helpful. The guide to restaurants was most helpful. The layout of the cabin is unique. The one bathroom is large enough and all the linen was provided. Though there are bunks off the play room I don't think the cabin is right for more than 2 adults and a couple of older children. The climb up and down the latter to the loft was negotiable for both my husband and I but the house is not recommended for anyone with trouble with steps. I loved the playroom in spite of the narrow spiral staircase down. The giant blackboard wall provided something to keep my hands busy on the two rainy days during the week. Not being familiar with a "smart TV" we were limited to what we could find. A little instruction would have helped. The narrow road leading to the cabin is dark at night but there are so few using it there was no difficulty. Our adventure started mid week when a rain storm lasting more than 24 hours caused the creek to overflow it's banks. The house is on the better side of the creek and the water never reached the patio but flooded the homes on the other side of the creek. We were unable to get out of the area that evening but no damage occurred and it provided an interesting sight from the safety of the front porch. We hope to return for another visit next year. We enjoyed a lot in the wooden house. The place was perfect and secluded for our family gathering. It has amazing views of the creek from the cabin deck. As mentioned they provided kayaks, everyone including kids enjoyed them in the creek. The fire pit and outside patio was outstanding with the lighting and great water views. This cabin is a perfect getaway from the daily grind. It is very remote and secluded. The setting on Penns Creek is beautiful and serene! The fire pit area is really nice. Everything has been kept very nice and clean. My only critic/suggestion would be to add a storm/screen door to the main door to allow more of the outside views and fresh air to enter the cabin.

What a beautiful place! My boyfriend and I were looking for a Christmas get away and a place to celebrate is birthday! We fell in love the second we walked in! The space was cozy, cute, and clean! It made it hard for us to leave. The view was great! We got lucky and got to see the cabin surrounded by beautiful snow and icicles. Landon was very responsive & the cabin had everything we needed! I truly wish I could give more than 5 stars! If you are looking for a cabin in the woods feel with modern comfort, this is the place to book. The property was not too far off of the main road and easy to find (though I initially did drive past just a bit haha). While there, it was isolated but felt secure and brightly lit. While we were there, the weather was between 30 and 50 degrees. We were able to enjoy kayaking on Penn's creek and come straight from the water to warm by the lovely fire pit. We roasted hotdogs and s'mores over the open fire, grilled hamburgers on the gas grill, and cooked sauce in the slow cooker available in the full kitchen inside. The cabin itself was picture perfect with just about everything you could think of to feel like home. This may be relevant to some: the internet was great. Three of us were able to run devices to WFH/school from home without any issues. Just a small note, my group was all 30 years old and under and able bodied. The sleeping areas require climbing (stairs/ladders) so that may be an issue for some. Landon was a great host and responded immediately to any questions I had. We also were able to enjoy hiking in Raymond Winter state park which was about a 35 minute drive away. I could go on, but this was the perfect woodsy retreat!

Can't say enough about what a perfect find this was! We enjoyed every bit of our stay-- from early morning coffee on the porch, to kayak rides, to a well stocked kitchen and amazing firepit. Wouldn't be surprised if we make an annual trip-- there are plenty of places within a half hour to fill a morning or afternoon with, but I honestly didn't want to leave! Cozy linens, plenty of throw blankets, and all the firewood we could need-- bring a few books and prepare to nestle in!

This cabin is PERFECTLY PERFECT! The idealistic setting is exactly how you see it online. We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived!
First, the information and directions we received prior to arriving were detailed and more than helpful. W had no trouble at all. The cabin was warm and inviting when we arrived! Landon even checked in to make sure we settled in comfortably.
There are lots of amenities in the kitchen and bathroom and all the blankets and towels smelled fresh and they are fluffy, warm and cozy!
We enjoyed a campfire both nights, we walked on the lane each morning and then had coffee on the outdoor swing while enjoying coffee and listening to river rush by.
If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is definitely your place! It’s also close to adorable towns with breweries, wineries and bookshops!
I can’t say enough-just absolutely lovely!

Our family of 7 was looking forward to a weekend away to celebrate a birthday, enjoy some quality time, and take in the beauty of the fall. We couldn't have picked a more perfect location for all of the above! The home was in the most peaceful and picturesque setting, and the cabin itself was just perfect for our family's needs. We loved all of the cozy and fun touches; from the lovely loft to the chalkboard wall to the porch swing, there were plenty of opportunities for rest and recreation. Our kids spent hours racing leaves down the creek and we topped off each night gathered around the large fire pit that overlooked the water. The gravel road along the property offered plenty of room to stretch our legs and enjoy the scenery. Plus, the stargazing was amazing! Every need was thoughtfully met, from comfy linens to a well-outfitted kitchen. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a beautiful spot to unwind and make some magical memories. This place offered exactly what we needed - rest, relaxation, and quiet time away from busy everyday life. When you open the door of the cabin to the front porch, you immediately hear the babbling of Penn’s Creek. Landon has created the perfect spaces for you to enjoy all that this land has to offer. The fire pit area has a special ambiance with lights strung in the trees. The cabin itself is charming, welcoming, warm, and so clean. We had everything needed to cook full meals and plenty of counter space to prepare them. We did enjoy one meal out and I would highly recommend - we ventured into Mifflinburg to eat outside at Rusty Rail Brewery which had great food and beer, with a really updated and cozy atmosphere. Plenty of hiking trails in the immediate area and beauty all around. You will absolutely love your time here - don’t miss the opportunity to stay!

Cute and cozy cabin tucked away in the Poconos, it sits on a quiet stream amongst the trees. Secluded and private, it's a perfect getaway for a couple, but can also accommodate several children in the lower level. The firepit and space surrounding it is very nice and is great for a cool evening bonfire. Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking for a little seclusion and privacy!

Landon was a wonderful host and always quick to respond to any questions before and during our trip. This was the perfect nature retreat and solitude that we were looking for and a great getaway from the city. The cabin & grounds are more perfect than the pictures in the listing with many little thoughtful touches that made this a fabulous stay!
The cabin itself was very comfortable for the two of us. The main level has a dining table with 4 chairs, fully stocked open floor plan kitchen, full bath with tons of soft & beautiful linens, and a living room that can comfortably seat 4 with a large screen TV. There is a comfortable queen bed with tons of pillows in the loft that you have to climb up to using the built in steep & sturdy wooden ladder. The ground/basement level is accessible from the main level using a narrow spiral wooden staircase or through the walk-out door. There are 5 bunk beds, a small living room/seating area, and a washer/dryer on the ground level (we didn't use this space or go down there often since it was only two of us).
The cabin is on a very quiet gravel road in the woods with lots of privacy from next door and across the creek neighbors. We spent most of our time outside either on the terrace that's furnished comfortably with a picnic table, firepit, and Adirondack chairs overlooking the creek, or on the deck/porch of the cabin that also has Adirondack chairs overlooking the creek, or the comfortable 2-person outdoor swing on the ground/basement level of the cabin. We also brought our own hammocks and tied them to the trees closer to the creek, and just relaxed to the sounds of nature (all kinds of birds & insects) and the flowing creek. I spent an entire day reading my book while in the hammock, talk about relaxation!!!
The cherry on top is the amazing lighting around the outdoors of the cabin, which allowed us to maximize the usage of the outdoor space. The flood lights, external lighting around the cabin, and the string of lights along the terrace where the firepit is was stunning! It also made me feel safe at night while being outdoors because I was a bit nervous about wildlife. The only wildlife we encountered were deer along the creek in the early morning that I later saw running up through the woods next to the property, squirrels, blue herron, an angry blue jay on a mission to protect his home & maybe young ones, and insects of sorts (mosquitoes, moths, crickets, and spiders - mainly daddy long legs). Make sure to bring a good insect repellent because the mosquito bites are fierce!
We were looking forward to using the bikes and kayaks, but we didn't get a chance to since we spent our time fishing in the creek or relaxing on our hammocks.
All in all, this property & experience exceeded our expectations and we'd definitely visit again! Highly recommend this place!!!

Hands down the best place! This cabin was everything I dreamed of. The romantic lights in the bedroom with the beautiful bedding and fur rugs. Literally like a Pinterest board come to life. The bed was absolutely amazing. I got the best sleep of my life on this vacation. This cabin was able to fulfill every need on our trip. We even used the mountain bikes and went for a ride. This cabin was the perfect get away to relax and chill. We kayaked everyday on the creek paddling around, fishing and exploring. The fishing was great once you find the fishing holes not located far from the cabin. In the four days we caught about 50 fish small to large. We caught small mouth bass, trout, crappy and catfish. Bald Eagle State Park is nearby and has a ton of beautiful hiking trails. The power did go out on us once and thankfully they had a Generac generator that turned on automatically. The steps are steep but this was very clear when I booked the cabin. We had not one single issue the 4 days we were there. I would definitely recommend to this to anyone who just needs time to relax and enjoy nature. We saw deer, turkey and tons of birds fishing at the creek. We did not see any bears but we found bear scat. So just remember do not leave any food outside!

Idyllic, beautiful, remote cabin. I wish we could have stayed longer! We had a fantastic vacation, and our 4 year old already asked when we can go back. The fire pit and picnic table area overlook the creek, and every night as we enjoyed dinner, we saw a ton of birds, including flying heron, toads, and turtles. By the creek, we also saw crawfish, catfish, millipedes, and really interesting looking water bugs. When we were there, it hadn't rained for a while, so the water was a bit too shallow to kayak comfortably (tip: water deeper away from the main road). That was a blessing in disguise though, since that meant we could wade fairly far out into the creek, which was so peaceful that I wished we could go fly fishing! We also took one of the bikes for a short ride (daughter still learning) on a flat path the owners recommended. Kitchen is well sucked, there are plenty of towels, and the beds are super comfortable (firm memory foam I believe). Just be careful on the stairs -- they are narrow and winding and I slipped twice on the same step. Overall a wonderful, relaxing stay!!

Our family truly enjoyed time spent at this rental. The cabin is gorgeous with pristine cleanliness. The kids enjoyed hours finding crayfish, swimming and kayaking on the creek, and nights filled with campfire cooking and star gazing. In addition, the wildlife you find by staying here is amazing, from Bald Eagles to rare freshwater Pearl Mussels. We have rented many cabins through VRBO, and this was one of my favorites!

This place was a perfect gem! Tucked away it was very private. The house was very clean and being so close to the creek was great! A quick walk down with kayaks that were provided (great touch!!) or for the kids to throw rocks and walk in the creek. The fire pit area was amazing and well stocked with wood. Landon responded quickly to any inquiries we had. A great place to visit while here would be the Raymond B Winter Park-make sure to bring your bathing suit, fishing rod, hiking shoes as there is so much to do! This cabin is 10/10. So much to do and see in this little piece of land. I recommend laying out in the upper yard to star gaze one night, it was stunning. I fell in love with this place. Amazing location right on Penn's Creek, take morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the sun-sparkled river, spend evenings by the fire pit on the expansive stone patio watching the beautiful sunset over the water. Clean and neat cabin with rustic wood plank walls, modern amenities and plenty of space to enjoy the natural and secluded setting (covered porch, swing, Adirondack chairs, picnic table, benches and two zero gravity chairs that can be moved around as needed). Amazing work done on the firepit area, our trip was brazen with the glow of a beautiful fire for the entire stay. 10/10 would highly recommend for anyone who wants to get away and enjoy the wilderness.

I really loved the cabin! It was such a peaceful getaway. The place is super clean, the communication from Landon is great and the surroundings were really lovely. All the modern amenities you could need, and all the nature you want! The kids enjoyed the kayaks and the fire pit. One day we took a quick 5 minute trip into Mifflinburg to the Rusty Rail Brewery, which is a really neat place with good food and beer! I didn't realize the Rails to Trails was so close or I would have brought a bike rack. There are 2 bikes there for your use, but I didn't think about transporting them. Of course, you could also just ride along the road the cabin is on. Great place!

This place is an easy 5 stars, no question. The pictures don’t even do it justice, it was far better when we arrived. My husband and I stay at Airbnb’s and VRBO’s quite a bit for work and even personal trips, but this one was our favorite for sure. We also don’t usually take the time to review, but it was necessary for this rental.
THE HOUSE:
Beautiful and CLEAN!!! Very clean, which is by far the most important thing. Kitchen fully stocked with the proper equipment to make full meals, up to date and everything was in working condition. The loft bedroom was cozy, and the added bonus was the Tempurpedic bed! The bathroom was spacious and easy to move around in, stand up shower and large counter top. Nice table to eat at, cozy living room with couch and corner chair, blankets, games and Smart TV available. Thermostat and system worked perfect (which is a game changer at most rentals). The basement with the bunk beds and living area were great for those bringing friends or even their kids. The owner even went as far as proving baskets of clean toys in great working condition, the perfect touch.
OUTDOORS: Beautiful porch with chairs, downstairs patio with a swing, grill looked new that’s how well kept it is, stone pathway leading to the fire pit with surrounding chairs and a picnic table making it a great spot for meals. Two reclining lawn chairs are provided for sitting down by the water, perfect touch AGAIN!! That river view has relaxation written all over it!
AMENITIES:
Two bikes, two helmets and a bike pump are stored away in a CLEAN, easy to access shed. Two kayaks are also easy to access and are in great working condition.
Hiking paths are available and also fishing (bring your own gear).
COMMUNICATION:
This was by far the EASIEST owner we’ve ever worked with. All information was clear from the beginning, so I didn’t walk away with a million questions. When I DID need to contact him, he was available with quick responses both through email or on the phone. Good communication with the owner makes the whole experience even better.
Overall, easily 5 stars. This was a great place to get away and RELAX!! Will definitely rent this Airbnb again, and I’ll refer friends. Reserve and enjoy!!

We had a wonderful weekend at the cabin! It was very clean and had everything that we needed. The location was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed kayaking, tubing, and fishing in the creek. We also enjoyed riding bikes, taking walks, and sitting around the fire pit in evenings. The kids loved playing in the creek and catching crayfish! They also loved going to Chilly Willys for ice cream and burgers (only about 5 minutes away in Harleton). It was the perfect family getaway! We would definitely like to return to the cabin!

WOW! This place is gorgeous from top to bottom. My group and I were blown away by the cleanliness and updated/stylish accents of the home. Recently an incredible stone fireplace must have been built with a beautiful stone walkway leading up to it. This was a surprise to us as this fire-pit is not in the pictures on the listing but for an outdoor lover, it was the best part of the home! We loved hearing the water from the creek all hours of the day and the house had everything we could have possibly needed. We are already eager to return. Landon was an incredible host as well, touching base with me to ensure we were having a great time as well as answering any questions I had immediately! Book it now, you will not regret it at all.

We absolutely loved getting away with the family for a long weekend at this spectacular property. The property is exactly as depicted in the pictures....directly on the creek, firepit beautifully made on a stone walkway surrounded by trees and added mood lighting on the walkway and above, gorgeous leather furniture, a great basement play area for kids complete with a chalkboard wall and bunk-beds, a outdoor porch swing, green grass and packed with all the essentials. There is almost nothing you need to bring except your food, toiletries, and clothes. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and utensils, trashbags and ziplocks, and cleaning supplies. You have plenty of firewood and great kayaks and bikes as well as cornhole and other board games. It is an absolutely wonderful perfect getaway. Easy to get to but just secluded enough to feel like you're in the wilderness. Very friendly people around that all wave to you and close enough to town where you can grab things you need should you forget anything. The host was attentive and very responsive. Book this place!!!! You will not regret it!!! Thank you Landon for a great get away!!!

If you are looking for some time alone, to be around nature and peace, to gather your thoughts and to reflect on life- You should definitely stay at Landon's place. This is by far the best place I have reserved- Cleanliness is a huge thing for me and this place is SUPER CLEAN and I must say very well stocked. I always pick up cleaning supplies and extra things just in case, but Landon's place was pretty survivable for a weekend getaway. Landon was always quick to respond to any questions I had and it really comforted me. This place offered everything and more. I am definitely looking to visit again in the nearby future.

Landon is the perfect host and was attentive to ensuring that we had all of the directions for getting to and entering the cabin. Landon could not have made the check-in process and simpler, even through we arrived around 9:30 PM.
As we drove toward the cabin, it was dark outside but were able to see that we were being transported back in to an era reminiscent of simpler living. The winding road to the cabin transitions from paved to packed stone—not to worry—no off-roading, just no pavement!
After walking from the gorgeous covered porch which overlooks famous Penns Creek into the cabin, we were pleased to see the open floor plan with modern amenities. The kitchen is well appointed and even features beautiful granite countertops. Yes, this is a cabin but is far from rustic!
In the basement, there are 5 bunk beds with very comfy mattresses (according to our children).
Upstairs in the loft is a queen size sleeping arrangement with cozy covers and comfortable mattress. LED accent light frame the whole upstairs and really create a cool atmosphere.
The following morning, we made breakfast and ate at the large table. After breakfast we drove on the local country roads to the quaint town of Mifflinburg to attend its German Christkkindl Market, which had wonderful local crafts, delectable food and even authentic German dancing group performances, etc. That evening was family entertainment night at the cabin. We watched a movie on the flat panel TV and played checkers.
All-in-all, we really enjoyed our time at Landon’s cabin on Penns Creek and plan to return!

This cabin far exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect. The cabin is situated right on the river and is so private. We had bon fires every night and enjoyed all of the outdoor amenities. There is everything you'll need in this house. Our daughters enjoyed the bunk beds and chalkboard wall and my husband and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The stairs are steep, as described, but the charm of the cabin is unlike anything you've ever experienced. Landon was extremely responsive when we had a few questions and an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Landon's property was beautiful and a joy to stay in. It was clean, cute, and well-decorated, situated right along a lovely creek where we went kayaking and wading. The property had kayaks and bikes there that we used and also a great fire pit that was really nice in the cool evening air. The atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for a fall getaway weekend in an area where the leaves were gorgeous and all was quiet in the woods.
Landon was a fabulous host. He responded immediately to any concerns or questions and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. He even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy when we arrived.

Beautiful setting, private and tranquil. Friday and Saturday night stay. Did not want to leave. Coffee, shampoo soap all provided. Saw a bunch of blue heron. Had a fire each night plenty of wood and kindling. Creek was too low to kayak but we did bike a rails to trail in Mifflinburg starting at The Rusty Rail Brewing Company which has great food. This property is absolutely perfect for a vacation in the woods. It is secluded enough for privacy yet close enough to civilization to make convenient trips to the grocery store, gas station, hardware store, etc. The property itself is well groomed, easy to park at, and has very easy access to the river the cabin is built next to. The fire pit is perfect as you can cook food on it (although you do have access to a propane grill) with more firewood than you could ever need provided. There are outdoor seats which make for perfect sitting and looking at the gorgeous view of the river. Additionally, there were 2 kayaks seating 4 total for kayaking along the river. The Cabin itself is beautiful as the interior, furniture, and appliances all look very new and extremely well maintained. The beds were made (and very clean), the kitchen was stocked with a coffee machine with coffee, pots, pans, silverware, plates, bowls, microwave, griddle, stove, etc. There were towels very nicely rolled for us to use, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, etc were all provided for us as well! There's also a lovely leather reclining couch and smart TV and free internet which makes for perfect movie nights. In the basement there was also a washer and dryer with detergent provided which made it easier to pack lightly for the trip. It felt as though we were staying at a luxury hotel with how clean and well maintained the cabin was. It was luxury in the privacy of the Pennsylvanian woods! The manager of the property was also very professional and kept great communication with us and was sure to answer questions and concerns very quickly and conveniently. Finding a nicer cabin in a better location with a better property manager in PA would be extremely hard to find. This cabin is truly a catch and a half!

This home is exactly as described, “a little gem”. The drive to Knoebels was a little ways but that’s no different than where we currently live compared to where we have to go for groceries, church, etc. so we’re very much used to it! The countryside is beautiful and the quietness was appreciated at the end of long days being surrounded by crowds! The home itself is comfortable. The lighting makes it warm and cozy. The view is spectacular. The water was apparently the lowest it’s been in years so we weren’t able to kayak this time around but that was okay since it was a short trip and mainly focused around taking the kids to the park. The only downside was the internet. The tv had Hulu and Netflix but is set up on a cricket wireless pay-as-you-go account which kept running out on us despite the fact it was only used for a few episodes during the later evening hours. I would probably recommend filling up the data for guests once so it doesn’t continue to run out and become a nuisance for everyone involved - especially at the price paid per night. Otherwise, our stay was beautiful, clean, we had everything we needed and then some. Maybe we can return again, next time long enough to enjoy the water and the fire pit! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home!

The cabin was amazing, everything about this place exceeded our expectations (the pictures doesn't do it justice at all) It had every amenity that we need it and Landon was very responsive on every question we had. The kitchen is adequately set up and well equipped. The beds/bedding were extremely comfortable, the kids loved the bunk beds, so great not to carry bedding/towels and piles of kitchen stuff. The creek provided the most tranquil background sound when on the porch, and the kayaks made it super fun for the kids. We spent every night by the fire pit enjoying the weather and the sunset view, great experience if you are looking a place for some peace. And as a perfect bonus, one morning, while having breakfast, a bear pass by the property, everyone was amazed watching from the porch while the bear walked away. We are definitely coming back!!!!

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for! Bottle of wine was waiting for us upon check in. With thoughtful gestures like that and great communication, Landon does all he can to assure you have a wonderful time. We unplugged for a few days and took in all the environment had to offer. The creek was the soundtrack to the stay. Lounged in a hammock I set up in the trees. Saw an eagle, a few herons swoop in and landed close by and countless deer making their way up, down and across the creek. Weather was perfect. Absolutely loved it!
Cabin was cozy and AC kept things cool even in the above loft sleeping area. Very clean. Very private. Had a nice fire as well, given all the wood provided. If you’re looking to decompress and enjoy nature, this is a fine place to do it. Would certainly stay again!

This little cabin was so awesome. So peaceful and private. The house was sparkling clean and decorated so nicely. The sound of the creek and the smell of the clean crisp air was just what we needed. We rented this cabin as a space to stay before we picked our son up from a nearby camp but we loved it so much we plan to return every year and spend a few extra nights to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the property.
The basement has bunk beds that sleep 5 so our whole family can fit perfectly in the future.
There was also a pack n play, a toy bin and a large chalkboard wall for our younger one.
We ate at the nearby Rusty Rail brewpub which was delicious.
Landon was very responsive - though we didn’t need a thing when we arrived. It was just as described, but nicer.
Highly recommend this space!

This is a lovely cabin, we really enjoyed sitting out on the deck and watching/listening to the river. You can see other houses, but the cabin is private. There are a variety of options provided for indoor and outdoor activities (kayaks, corn hole, chess, etc). Landon checked in with us on the first evening of our stay to make sure everything was good and was very responsive any time we reached out to him.

Landon was very helpful and accessible. The cabin is so secluded it would make a very romantic spot, but also worked great for three little ones without having to worry about disturbing neighbors. We found all kinds of cool bugs, animal tracks and even spotted a neighborhood black bear! It was huge and ignored us completely.
Fireflies, sunsets on the river, campfires were perfect. My husband cooked each night and found everything he needed in the kitchen. The WiFi and TV were helpful. Toys downstairs were a hit — along with the chalkboard wall! Stairs are not for the faint-hearted but also manageable.
Grocery store was close by and the surrounding farms are picturesque. Wish we lived closer so we could come back more often! Thank you Landon!

The cabin and property are secluded and Beautiful! Landon was great, and on top of it all! Cant wait to visit again! The cabin is absolutely adorable and decor is VERY well done, simple stylish touches are just enough! The kitchen cabs, countertop and appliances are lovely as well, nicer than mine at home! And the bath! They had us covered from toilet paper to coffee! Thanks for the note, bottle of wine and wine glasses that made us smile and feel very welcome. The kids kept ooing and awwwing at the seclusion and beauty of not only the "amazeballs" cabin but the surroundings as well and many times hugged me and said thank for bringing them to a beautiful spot, daughter had eaten her daily breakfasts staring out the windows, and couldnt believe she could eat breakfast with a view like that, even the bathroom had an excellent view! I really enjoyed my coffee out on the front deck, the slight roaring of the creek and birds singing in such beauty was just what I needed to unwind! I barely herd a vehicle at all! Suggestions, bring some heavy duty tubes for the creak, old sneakers or crocks, too rocky for water socks, take some extra games for the kiddos, check out "reptile land" we love it there and its only a 45 min drive, I think Knobels is the same as is Penns cave!! Lawn chairs to sit down in the creek with the kids is a plus, so dont forget them! We will be going again! Cant wait!

This is a really amazing place for a quiet getaway. The cabin is secluded, but you're still 15 minutes or so away from anything you need. The river is amazing, whether you choose to fish, kayak, or just sit on the back porch and relax. The amenities in the cabin are all modern and very comfortable.
Landon is a great host. He was quick to answer the many questions I had from local dining to locations to drop off and pick up the kayaks.
For a relaxing getaway I don't think there was a better spot I could have chosen, can't wait to visit again in the future.

This place is a little gem. Landon put a lot of thought into the house and details. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like a bottle of sangria waiting for us, a special dark wash cloth just for cleaning off my makeup, food storage containers, ice in the freezer, nice large & soft bath towels, toys/books for my kids and coffee. The property is so peaceful and serene. I loved having my morning coffee on the deck overlooking the river. We enjoyed kayaking, and Landon even supplied life jackets for our family. My kids loved playing on the edge of the river, where it is shallow and rocky. We had a camp fire, and there is a grill grate that attaches to the fire pit, so we cooked hot dogs over the fire. It was the perfect place to spend quality time with our kids.
Just a heads up to families with small children though. The stairs in the house are very steep and narrow, and there is a minimalist railing around the stair well. I was very worried about my kids falling down them. I told Landon about this, and he is such an attentive and thoughtful person, I'm guessing he'll address the safety concerns soon. Until then, this may not be the best place for families with children under age 5.
Overall, we were really pleased with our stay. The peace and beauty really recharged us.

Marvelous! Beautiful cabin, really well stocked with thoughtful items, stylish and comfortable furniture and the cabin is remarkably sparkling clean considering it's relatively remote! Right on a creek with kayaks provided, lots of firewood available for the fire pit. Kitchen had every utensil one would need, gas grill outside next to the creek. Toys for kids, games for older folks. Great communication by the host. Will definitely try to come back soon.

Absolutely loved this place. This was our 2nd time here and we highly recommend it. We loved sitting out on the porch and down by the river and just relax and listen to the water. It’s nice and peaceful where the cabin is located, not much traffic. Very clean cabin!! Would highly recommend to anyone!!
