I was so happy to stay at Landon's property. The photos don't do it justice. Extremely comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and so relaxing. We are thinking about reserving for the same time next year. And Levi, the "service dog" said thank you for welcoming him.

We were visiting Gettysburg and this was a great location, even though it's about 30 mins away. Very quiet and relaxing. Lovely home with great views. New appliances, large dining table, comfortable living room. We couldn't use the fireplace because there was no wood and we didn't want to go on someone else's property to find some! check in and out was very easy. Four of us had a great time. We didn't go up to the loft because the staircase is winding and narrow - too hard for anyone with any number of years under their belt! We would come back. We really didn't communicate with the property manager while we were there, but I have since sent him an email.

A peaceful, getaway with priceless views overlooking farmland and trees. Our family was able to relax this home. The kitchen was fully stocked, toys were a hit with our daughter, the pool table in the basement was enjoyable, the furniture and beds comfortable. The host was prompt with our concerns. We would definitely return to this location as a great way to unplug while also being just 20 minutes away from Gettysburg. Highly recommend.

Landon’s place is great for spending a relaxing weekend.
Communication was great. The place was clean and all instructions were clear. Landon provided a list of places to visit in the area and tips on local restaurants.
There were only a couple of minor issues with the table kitchen and chairs that need to be fixed. Otherwise, the place is great. I mentioned these issues to Landon at the end of our stay. And he said he will fix them before the next family visits his place.

The house was comfortable and welcoming. Lots of space, comfortable linens and beds/pillows. It is no joke that there is no cell service…. Like ZERO! Which was fine but you need to know that. The wifi isn’t really strong enough for working or a lot of streaming, and no the add doesn’t mention tv, but be aware there are none! Again, all good but just know before booking. Was decently stocked with supplies. We did have a fall, the foyer steps are a bit deceiving and our grandmother didn’t see the step, she did require stitches, so be careful in that foyer. I recommend something that highlights the step. Our group enjoyed the home and spent a bit of time there just relaxing.

If you're headed to Gettysburg, I highly recommend staying here. It's pretty secluded so there's no cell service, but that's a minor inconvenience for all the home offers.

This place was tucked away off the beaten path and was very quiet and peaceful. Driving up the driveway at night was amazing - more fireflies than I have ever seen. Property was as described and met our needs great! Just an FYI - there is WiFi, but no TV which was no problem for us at all, but if you need that you may want to consider bringing a laptop so you can stream just so you aren't caught off guard by this. Great stay!

The retreat home is very private with lots of property to run around. There were a ton of birds during the day and firefly/lightening bugs at night! Large kitchen and dining room for a family. Great little little table and chairs for toddlers! Our teenage daughter loved retreating to the loft bedroom upstairs. No TV concerned our boys, but was never an issue once we got there!
This is a comfy, lived-in type house. If you are looking for a family get-away, this is perfect. There is a pool table in the basement and I beat my teenager, so it was a great perk for mom!

House was exactly as depicted. No issues at all. Land is beautiful and serene. No TV, which was so great. Just family time with no distractions. Our 5 and 6 years old loved the playground, games and to be able to run freely with us seeing them the whole time. Would definitely book this property again for my family. This house was 5 minutes away from our place.

We enjoyed Deerfield so much! The house was perfect for what we were looking for - a close to WDC getaway with room for two families, including babies. The staircase was the only place we had to worry about babygates, and it was easy to block off. Home was super clean, plenty of linens, kitchen was nice and big, and the yard and property are beautiful during the day and as beautiful with the stars at night. Trails in state parks nearby are easily accessible, and the Thirsty Farmer Brewery has loads of outdoor space for kids to run and play while adults enjoy a brew w/ snacks. If we come back to the area, we'd love to stay here again. Host/manager very responsive

What a vacay/retreat!! My family and I were so unexpected of what we experienced at Deerfield. I had no idea we would get to spend so much family time together bonding, talking and learning ways more than we were ready for about each other...lol. Secluded means just that!! This chalet is AMAZING on the inside and out!! Everything we need was right there. Being that high in the mountains was truly breathtaking. The host made sure everything was clean and comfortable. Although you're at least 20 mins from everything because you're so high up, it was extremely worth it. The price was extremely reasonable for the space, luxury and experience. I would definitely rent again and recommend to anyone telling me they're visiting PA. Thank you Deerfield!! We were able to celebrate my Son turning 16 and gain an extra wonderful experience with out family bonding. Anytime teenagers(5) say they were glad there were no TVs to look at or use should definitely tell you the magnificence of this property. Rent, bond and enjoy!!

Deerfield Retreat is one of the most well-stocked Air BnBs I have ever stayed in. This was the perfect spot for a getaway with a small group of friends, and the space is even cuter and cleaner than it looked on the listing. Photos don’t do it justice! Highly recommend!

My family was attending our fathers funeral in Carlisle Pa. Because of the Covid we were not able to meet at any one location. Only my Wife and Kids stayed on the property and we hosted dinner each night for the others. I was wonderful. The manager was there when we had issues with the grill. Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. We will be back.

If you’re looking for a great, peaceful escape for a weekend— this is it! It was so secluded and the house sat on a great piece of property! So much to do outside... and inside was nice & spacious as well!
Great hiking trails nearby too!

This space was beautiful. You are really hidden away from everything. The space is great for families with young kids, or big kids who like yard games. Although there were no TVs, the wifi worked great so we still were connected. The kitchen is large and beautifully stocked. They had the best waffle maker I’ve ever used. The only complaint I had was that it is obvious that this house is one of many of the owner’s properties, and doesn’t get the most TLC. The yard was not well kept and there was still trash left over from the previous renters. But overall we had a great retreat and would recommend it!

Landon’s Deerfield Retreat is the perfect getaway from the city. His place exceeded expectations in cleanliness, spaciousness, and functionality. We loved that the house had several nooks for our group to spend time as a whole or scattered about the house. And the kitchen being stocked with all necessities from plates and pots to seasonings was a huge plus. We also appreciated how quick Landon was to respond when we had questions, but he also gave us the space to thoroughly enjoy our weekend at the Retreat.

We had a great stay at Deerfield retreat. The house was a great size with 4 bedrooms and a comfortable living room, which made it a great spot for our multiple family trip! Our toddler especially loved the toys, kids table and the slide outside. Our mornings on the front porch drinking coffee and enjoying the serenity of the area was our favorite part! We didn't have any phone service but luckily good wifi service to make up for that. The upstairs bedroom didn't get as much of the air as the rest of the house so was a lot warmer and we didn't end up using that room. Overall, a great trip at a great location. Would definitely recommend!

After more than 100 days of quarantine in NYC we were ready for a short escape to the country and the Deerfield retreat did not disappoint. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed daily excursions to Gettysburg and then spent the evenings stargazing on the lawn. We went during a heat wave and while the loft bedroom and bathroom did not have air conditioning and was just too hot to stay in, the rest of the bedrooms and house was refreshingly cool with AC. There is no outside seating so we brought our own chairs to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. My family had a wonderful and relaxing time and we would definitely return.

The house was very clean, the spacious was very beautiful especially the little table for the kids and some toys for them to play, that was very thoughtful of the host.
We utilize the bbq during the day and it's on perfect conditions to use and easy to manage.
As the location is far from other houses is very quiet and makes you feel in peace listening to the birds.
The pizzeria close to the location were very good I highly recommended along with the beautiful view of the apple trees!
P.S. the host response to the text very quickly in case there is anything you need.

Landon's Deerfield Retreat was lovely and I would love to stay again. Landon was a great host and provided everything you would need for your stay. My girlfriend and i loved the peace and quiet! Being a novice bird watcher I loved waking up early and sitting outside watching all the variety of birds flying around on the property. The retreat was also located close to Gettysburg for all those history buffs looking for a central place to stay. All in all i had a wonderful time and i recommend Landon's Deerfield Retreat to anyone looking for a get away.

My family had a wonderful stay. We chose the location for it's proximity to Liberty Ski Resort. The house comfortably accommodated all 8 of us and had some really nice touches like a pool table and heaters in each room. We also appreciated the 4 bathrooms! The home is secluded and a short drive from the main road so it really feels like a private getaway. Make sure to check out the beautiful sunrise. The host was also very responsive to our needs. We would definitely stay there again.
