Happy Harbor

We had a wonderful stay at this home tucked away in the mountain side. The home is spacious and easily accommodated our entire group with plenty of comfortable sleeping space for everyone. It’s ideal for larger families or multiple families traveling together.
There were lots of activities that would keep both kids and adults entertained, which made it easy to enjoy time at the house without feeling the need to leave. The common areas are large and inviting, perfect for gathering, while still offering enough room to spread out.
The setting is peaceful and scenic, making it a great place to relax and recharge. Overall, a well-maintained, thoughtfully equipped home that worked very well for our group. We would be happy to stay here again.

Landon’s place was a dream! The house was huge and we were able to accommodate the whole family without issues. It has so much entertainment for adults and kids! The kitchen is big and it has everything you need. The outdoors were so beautiful and private. The rooms are spacious and the house has multiple bathrooms. I don’t have any bad thing to say, we were very pleased. The only thing that a couple of our family members mentioned was about the bathroom next to the laundry room, that the doors are not private enough, people can see through it, we solved the issue by putting towels covering the door. I am so grateful because spending thanksgiving with my family (some of us haven’t seen each other in 10 years) was a dream come true! Thank you Landon for being such a great host, always responsive and friendly! Thank you, thank you!!!!

Great spot for our group! We were in town for the JFK 50 mile ultra and this house was a great base camp for the group. Clean and comfortable, it was just what we needed to prep and recover from the event. Would definitely stay there again!

Visited the home for a long weekend with the family. The house is big! It’s like a maze at first.
The house is in fairly remote area so internet is not super reliable and not great coverage of the whole house (not mesh WiFi). Best close to kitchen.
No issues with water, hot water or HVAC. Lots of beds and seating. Kitchen was clean and useful.
The kids enjoyed exploring around the property and like spending time playing around the basketball hoop. They have a nice fire-pit outside with chairs where we had a fire and roasted marshmallows.
We spent lots of time day just hanging around the house, exploring, playing games and watching a movie together.
Note: Sometimes the internet may get spotty so having downloaded shows/movie may be useful. We brought our own Roku, but there is only one TV and I believe it has smart TV capabilities, but we didn’t use them. Well, the kids did seem to watch some YouTube videos.

We held a reunion here and it was perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is very big and has just about everything you need. A screened-in sitting room was a great place to hang out. and there’s a nice big screen TV and the first level where you can show presentations or videos. we love the back patio for sitting around and eating meals. Some of us went to the swimming pool and waterfalls and loved it.

We booked this place for 12 adults and it was last minute as the previously booked location cancelled the day before the trip. We doubled up in each room. It had everything we needed plus a pool. It is located close to numerous wineries and is right next door to the brewery. There was plenty of parking for everyone. The place was clean and checkin and checkout was easy. We property manager was quick to reply to any questions we had. The view was amazing especially for the sunrise!

Beautiful property. Very unique layout that we loved since we don’t love the open concept homes. There are lots of steps. Enter through the back door, with a gorgeous outdoor space, into the kitchen/dining area. Three ways to go 1. Off to one side is the screened in porch. 2. the other - a spacious laundry area that leads to a half bath on one side with a toilet and sinks, and a half bath on other side with a jetted tub and a stand up shower. You can go down the stairs to the large makeup area, large closet with twin bed then into a bedroom. That bedroom leads to the sitting area and living room area and has half flight of stairs that can go back upstairs to the other side of the kitchen area or downstairs half a flight into the basement. 3. Through the enormous kitchen and there is a half bath, the front doors, a bedroom and stairs to go to lower level bedroom discussed in heading 2, and stairs to go up to bedrooms. Going upstairs half a flight - there is a bedroom (didn’t like the open look out panels that look out to front doors and the lower level living room, but room was spacious with its own bathroom.) Going up another half flight of stairs are two additional bedrooms with a jack and Jill bathroom. Toilet and sink area is separate from shower making it very usable for both rooms. The basement area is accessed through the hidden door and a flight of stairs to enjoy the game room. Nice, multiple patios. Remote. Beautiful creek and water fall.

Plenty of room for six of us adults. The surrounding area is beautiful & historic. Didn’t really use the living room with TV, which is separate from kitchen but that was ok for us as we played card & board games at night. Fire pit area was great; game room fun for a few games of pool & pingpong. Unique house layout for sure!

There were six of us doing some section hiking of the AT. The house was large with plenty of space, and the kitchen was perfect for preparing dinner every evening. We had so much fun exploring the creek on the property and even took some time to sit with our feet in after a long day of hiking. The house is far back in the woods with beautiful surroundings. The house is very spacious with lots of room to spread out. Ping Pong and pool table are a nice plus and the beds are comfortable! the surroundings are beautiful and it is quiet and peaceful. Wifi only works in the kitchen/dining area, but that wasn't an issue for us. overall, a great stay. we'd stay again!

Great house for a larger group to get away from
the crowds for the weekend. The path down to the river and bath hole is well worth the walk. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The house had gamers for the adults and younger crowds and the covered basketball hoop was a hit for all ages in our group.

House was clean & had enough space for our 10 adult sibs/spouse weekend.  We used the pool table and ping pong. Spacious kitchen! Spent a lot of time at that table playing games; 10 adults fit at table by using 2 island chairs.  For meals ,the island offered more sitting options.  Comfortable sleeping too.
Screened porch was used alot.  Used the fire pit one evening.  
Appreciated the tips and suggestions from the Host for the area.  This location is a good springboard for various destinations.
Five cars fit easily into drive way area.   Just need to make sure no one is coming up drive when someone else is leaving.  This was not an issue at all for us.
Wish water feature was easier to get to. Only 2 made the trek to find it.
Would recommend this house! Host was very responsive and helpful.

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. The home, grounds and area were beautiful. It's such a unique layout for a house - we had a lot of fun exploring it and admiring its character. There was a lot of room to spread out. The screened-in patio was my favorite; I sat in it for hours just drinking coffee and watching the woods. Others loved the firepit and outdoor space. The home was clean and nicely appointed. The only two issues we had were that the water pressure was not very good, and the wifi was very slow. Landon as a host was very informative, made check in and check out simple, and responded promptly when I messaged. We had a great time!

We had a group of friends getting together and really enjoyed the layout of the home. There was ample space to spread out or get together in multiple communal areas. The game room in the basement was great. The only minor issue we had was the wifi connection in the mid level sitting area but when we messaged the property manager we got a very prompt response. Overall I would definitely recommend this property. I would recommend a larger vehicle if you have one as the drive up to the house is a little daunting but not to the point it requires 4 wheel drive, I made it up in a hatchback.

The interior of the house was beautiful. The kitchen and dining space were great for a group that likes to eat and sit around the table to talk and play games. We loved the careful labeling of the light switches (no guessing) as well as the kitchen cabinets. It was easy to find what we needed.

This place and the surrounding property is gorgeous! The house has a fun, quirky layout. The kitchen is huge and has plenty of pans, dishes, and everything you need for a pot of coffee. The bedrooms are all spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the linens were amazing. The bathrooms were clean and all stocked with soap. The basement is very cool, although we didn’t use it a whole lot. We walked to the watering hole several times. This was the highlight for our kids!! We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

We loved our stay at this house and made many good memories. The house is just as it appears on pictures. Our young boys thought the basketball court would be bigger but still had fun with it and the game room in the basement. Plenty of space to play hide and seek. Sleep was comfortable. The fireplace was cozy. Stores are not too far away which was great. Finally, Landon is an excellent communicator and made sure we were right at home.

This is a truly unique house built on multiple split levels so there are many stairs. Ideal for family gatherings where there are several family groups. Only one bathroom is en suite, but the others were all close to bedrooms. We didn’t use the game room but it would be great for older children. The kitchen is wonderful - lots of counter space and extremely well equipped. Close to Harpers Ferry. Surrounded by beautiful woods and a gorgeous creek - though the ground is very steep in places. Loved all the labels and welcoming throws:) It made for a wonderful place for our Christmas gathering.

We spent Thanksgiving here with Aunts, Uncles and cousins and it was perfect. Each family had their own space, the game room was awesome, the TV room was comfortable and the kitchen was nice and big. We loved hanging out in the screened-in room and kids & adults enjoyed playing basketball. We hiked along the creek and had a couple nights by the bonfire. It was clean, decorated nicely, and comfortable. No complaints. Landon was a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed the memories we made here. The local farm store was an added bonus!

We loved this house! We were in town for a wedding, and this house was perfect for the amount of people coming in from out of state. The linens and bedrooms were beautiful, we had lots of space to spread out, the kids had lots of things to do, and the kitchen was spacious and extremely clean. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area.

The place was great! Completely secluded from everything. A lot of amenities, great for big families or groups. Kitchen was stocked with all essentials. Rooms were big and had big windows to take in views from every side. Kids loved the open space inside and outside the house. The game room was super fun. Host was very responsive with any question I had. Perfect place to disconnect, unwind and relax. The house is located on a huge lot of land. The backyard and deck was perfect for having a bbq. And it even had a basketball court!
All in all it’s a beautiful house! I’d definitely go again and suggest you check it out too!

Landon was a great communicator and helped to resolved any issues that arose quickly. The house is beautiful and comfortably fit my family of 15. The kids love the game room and all the different areas to hang out were great! I will say the wifi wasn’t the best, so if you need to work while on vacation, maybe bring a hotspot.

Beautiful home with much attention to detail and the needs of the renter. Outside there is terrain to explore, a basketball court, places to play, and seating areas including a wonderful screened in porch. Inside there is a great variety of bedrooms and bathrooms, an enormous well-equipped kitchen, centrally located washer and dryer, and a super fun game room. This a wonderful property and my family enjoyed our stay completely.

We loved our stay at Landon's place in Knoxville, MD. The property is really special -- there's even a large creek that runs through it, at the bottom of the long driveway. We had 3 family's staying together -- 6 adults + 6 kids (age: 3-7). Very spacious, comfortable beds, and kid-friendly. Fully equipped kitchen with a great gas grill out back. We had everything we needed, highly recommended!
The location is close to Dargan Boat Landing, a place where our kids played in the Potomac river access to C&O Canal towpath, and nature places for kids to explore.

The house was big, very clean, and like a maze. Though like a maze, he had clear instructions throughout the house explaining how to get to each room which was great. The house was as expected. 2 suggestions...the younger generation thought the internet was not as good as advertised. very spotty. The game room could use some tables, trash can and better rug under the ping pong table.
All of the beds got good reviews....snuggled right in.

My family had a great (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication before our visit was great and prompt. The house was clean and well supplied. We especially loved all the amenities in the kitchen! There were 10 of us (5 couples). Given that the house sleeps or accommodates 16, we thought there could have been a few extra chairs for the kitchen table. The same for seating around the fire pit. Be sure to bring extra folding chairs for around the fire. There were only 4 plastic Adirondack chairs. We also thought the hiking trails might have been closer. It sounded like they would be within walking distance of the house. That took us a little more time to figure out. That said, we really enjoyed our stay. We spent a day at Antietam and a day at Harper's Ferry. The deer greeted us every morning and every evening at the house. The setting was beautiful.

I booked this for my mom and her friends and they all love it!!!!! The house is beautiful and spacious. Everything is as described in the listing. They love the scenery around it and it’s within 1 hour drive to all three nearby major Outlet malls. Check in and check out directions are super clear and easy.
Mom and her friends are still sharing videos and pictures even after they came home.

Beautiful setting. House is oddly cut up but we were six unrelated women and this made it very quiet. The layout isn’t a negative but there are a lot of stairs. The linens were fantastic! So many pillows! So many cozy blankets! Kitchen is huge which was ideal for six of us each doing our thing.

Great space in an excellent location. The layout is a bit weird and most of the bathrooms aren’t en suite. But the place was really well-appointed. Only real issue is that we weren’t given an “emergency” number to reach for urgent issues and the power went out (just this property) for a bit. Once we reached someone they were very responsive.

The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our family. The kids loved the game room and water hole and wished they had soemthing like it at home. It rained one of the evening so we all sat in the screened in porch, laughed and enjoyed time together. Would stay again and recommend.

This is a great house for large families! We had 13 people (adults and children) staying and there was plenty of room for all of us without ever feeling like we were on top of each other. Everything was super clean. The rooms were spacious and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. We loved spending early mornings and late evenings on the screened in porch. The game room and the covered basketball court came in handy when it poured rain all day. The fire pit was perfect for s'mores. The swimming hole was a fun adventure to have without leaving the property. Definitely would recommend this spot to other large groups.

The house is renewed and clean, it has amenities that you can have fun at any time of the day. Additionally, there is a waterfall and a small private pond in the back you can enjoy which differs from other houses. Highly recommend!

This property is an excellent choice for getting a large family together. A private driveway and wooded lot provided a ton of privacy and seclusion. Plus, the outdoor activity shelter and basement gameroom allowed all of us to unwind and have some fun. This was exactly what my large family needed. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future trips to the area.

We loved this home! The beds were comfortable & the sheets we crisp & wonderful! We had 13 people stay with us in this home & there was plenty of room for everyone without feeling like we were on top of each other. The only TV is in the living room & there wasn't quite enough room for the adults to sit in there & watch a NBA game without bringing chairs in from other rooms, but we made do. The decor is modern & clean.
The kitchen is spacious & had most of the things we needed to make food for our large group. The ice maker seemed to be frozen over but that's easily fixable. We were grateful for a wonderful place to come "home" to after a long day of sight seeing. It's a little over an hr to Arlington. Beautiful home & great value! The driveway is steep & windy but it's paved. The property is beautiful & peaceful! I would suggest you watch for poison ivy around the creek if you want to wade in the water. We hope to be back again next year. Great home!

Our party came to the Harper's Ferry area to see the local historical sites and decompress; this property was well situated to do both. While our party was composed of adults, we noted features that would make this property ideal for multi-generational gatherings. Preferring to take most meals in house, we found the kitchen well equipped to store our provisions and prepare meals (This property was the first that I've used where I was did not need to access my "mobile kitchen box" for key utensils in order to do scratch cooking.) The kitchen area was spacious enough to support multiple cooks. When we weren't touring, we strolled the expansive wooded grounds or sat in the porch room and enjoyed the sounds of the nearby creek while watching the abundant wildlife. The weather was good during or stay, but had it been bad, we would have enjoyed the multiple options available in the game room (darts, pool, ping pong, etc). There is open-frame covered area outside which can be used for pick-up basketball and other ball games (conveniently located across from the kitchen windows so the cook can keep an eye on what's going on while preparing dinner). The house has an unusual floorplan which enhances privacy for people staying there. Some of the bathrooms have completely split toilet/vanity & bathing areas to allow a large party to dress and assemble quickly & conveniently. The floorplan is a quint(!) split level type. There is one king bedroom on the main floor; the remainder of bedrooms require the occupant to use stairs.
