Absolutely amazing space for small family or couples retreat. Walking distance to nice dining options and a few sites and shops. Landon's guide book send upon booking was fabulous and had amazing recommendations. Amazing communication and instructions for checking in and out. Only place we well stay from now on when visiting the area. Highly recommend this host!!!!

I would highly recommend this cute apartment for your stay in Amish country. Centrally located to the other Amish towns and walkable to Der Dutchman restaurant. It was clean and comfortable and I would not hesitate to book this place again for future visits. Host was communicative and friendly.

I loved my stay! I had everything I needed and it was close to all the places and shops I wanted to go to in both Berlin and Walnut Creek! The only bad thing was parking. Parking in the driveway was extremely difficult and it was very narrow. It would be helpful to have somewhere else to park instead. I will also say it’s be renovated. There are three beds now so you could have up to 4 people stay!

Absolutely loved my stay. The airbnb was in a GREAT location, the views were stunning, the fireplace (inside & out) were lovely & cozy! All the amenities were included w the stay.
The decor was homey & luxury & tasteful. Very CLEAN! The host was responsive. Place was easy to find.
The only... not so positive side... was that the airbnb was the bottom half of the host's house. While they were very quiet overall, it was like being on the first floor of an apt building... u can hear pretty much everything.
It had no impact on me bc it was just my best friend and I but I wouldn't go back w my partner... takes away the romance of a romantic cottage in my opinion. there is another airbnb that is separate from the building that might be a better fit if ur looking for a romantic getaway bc everything else about it was just perfect.

We loved this cottage, so much that we booked it for another night! The property owner was very kind and helped us very quickly with an issue that was not his fault. He reached out to VRBO and got us a resolution! A very relaxing get away, very close to everything we needed and wanted to see and do. We will be booking again soon!

This was a beautiful and central location to all the places we wanted visit in Amish Country. Nicely decorated. Very clean. We would have lit the wood burning stove for the ambience, but it was too warm in the room to want to add heat.

I would definitely stay here again! Making a fire and staying in for the night was perfect. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare any meal.
The views are perfect for morning coffee.
If you stay here this is a place to stay in and relax. You’ll want to pick up a few groceries before getting into Walnut Creek. Coffee and creamers are available.

I really, really loved this stay! First, the communication with the owners was outstanding. We wanted to arrive a little before 4 and they were very accommodating. The details for arrival were very easy to follow and the checklist wasn't too crazy (some of these places ask you to do way too much before you leave). The parking is a little tricky as it is pretty steep and tight but we made it work! The views are just spectacular! Inside was the best decorated VRBO place I've stayed at thus far. I kind of wish they would come and decorate my place haha. We had no issue with the upstairs controlling the heat/cold. Would definitely stay here again!

My mom and I were so pleased with our stay here! It was within walking distance to all the classic Amish Country stops, but also convenient to jump on the main road and head to Walnut Creek Cheese or Berlin. Having this place as our hub for our trip could not have been more perfect. Everything was clean, beautifully decorated, and you can't beat the view. It would be an absolute pleasure to stay here again.

Place was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. The bed was very, very comfortable. Our only, minor issue was not being able to control the temperature. It is controlled by owner upstairs. Sometimes, it was too warm for us. Fortunately, it was cool out and we could open windows. But for most people this would not be a problem. The place is well worth the money

Wonderful stay in Amish Country! Fredy & Leona's rental was a perfect location. We enjoyed being able to walk to Rebecca's Bistro, and being less than 15 minutes from all of our favorite places to visit in the area! This rental is very clean and spacious for a couple on a weekend getaway. We appreciated the coffee, creamer, and chocolates! The views from the patio were gorgeous. Just like the pictures! So clean! And the kitchen is HUGE, perfect if you want to cook, so much prep space! The front room is so spacious and bright—absolutely gorgeous and homey. I only met Fredy and he was super kind and helpful even walked me around the space to make sure I had no questions. Sweet outdoor space. The location is excellent. You can walk to Rebecca’s Bistro, Der Dutchman, and a few shops. Driveway is a little narrow and scary, but just take your time! The only thing I’d note for future travelers is that you kinda feel like you are staying IN a friends home since you are in the basement of their home. You can hear voices, tv, music, etc. so if privacy or silence is a big concern for you, or you need to sleep at nonconventional times, I’d consider their detached (equally beautiful) cottage option. I’m glad I booked this space, it was excellent for my needs.

I can not say enough kind words about Freddie and Leona. They were the perfect hosts. Their home is impeccable, comfortable, not to mention, beautiful! The location is perfect. Such a nice place in so many ways! The location was perfect; so close to Walnut Creek (we walked by the long lines at Der Dutchman Restaurant to pick up carry out and ate our meal hot at home!) yet quiet and peaceful sitting on the back patio looking at the hills. Leona has gone out of her way to include many extras and the kitchen was better stocked than any I have ever stayed in. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. This house was super clean, and Leona was great at communicating.
The location was perfect for walking to Der Dutchman and the shops up the hill.
Our favorite thing about it was sitting in the rocking chairs outside in the evening, looking at the beautiful scenery, listening to the clip-clop of horses pulling buggies up Rt 39, and watching the lightening bugs in the field!
If you’re up for a nice walk, you should walk down to the covered bridge, but be prepared to walk back all uphill!

This is a wonderful place that is conveniently located in the heart of Amish Country right in Walnut Creek just a 1 minute drive to Walnut Creek Cheese and Der Dutchman. The views are amazing! What a wonderful stay! Leona and Freddy’s place is roomy, comfortable and clean. It is a quick walk to delicious restaurants and shops. They are kind and thoughtful and have included coffee, tea and other food items for their guests -a complete kitchen is available. We used the wood burning fireplace every night-enjoyed reading, talking, and relaxing. Our hosts answered all our questions and were very helpful. It was a delightful visit to Amish country!

An absolutely beautiful cottage apartment with plenty of room to sprawl out and relax. Sunsets are spectacular. Shop for a few groceries before you arrive or stay if you enjoy cooking; the kitchen is large and stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. I think the listing says no tv but they do have Netflix, Hulu, and Livestream, just no cable nor local station access.

We had a wonderful stay at Fredy and Leona's space! We are 3 young mom's who took a weekend away from our kiddos for some r&r. Two of us slept in the bed and one on the couch! It was PERFECT. If you’re looking for a getaway this is the place to go. Located not far from a lot of the tourist attractions in Amish country. The place is so quaint and quiet. Washer/dryer, and so many other things to make your stay simply the best. Leona is so accommodating. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful and spacious. The kitchen dining area is huge! Very comfortable bed. Felt right at home. Fredy and Leona were perfect. Leona met us when we arrived and was available if we needed anything. Little touches like juices and snacks were a nice extra. Very welcoming and peaceful.

we are from germany and had no idea about ohio, armish, countryside.
this place is an excellent place to stay.
we had been on our way from d.c. towards athens (ohio), and took only the much slower countryroads.
so we could find out, that this part on earth and especially the sweet home of leona and fredy is brilliant.
both are very nice and helpful persons.
we would like to stay with them again.

Cute decor that immediately makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Friendly hosts. The kitchen has the utensils and cookware you would need to cook a meal but with so many restaurants around, you certainly don't need to cook. Coffee maker, coffee and creamers were provided. We stopped at a local bakery and stocked up on some things and enjoyed coffee and cinnamon rolls for breakfast, sitting out on the patio. A lovely get away!

Fredy and Leona's place is perfect for a weekend getaway. The space is open and inviting with plenty of room for 2-3 people. The kitchen space is perfect for cooking your own meals. The view of the rolling hills and horse pasture from the back patio is quite peaceful and relaxing. You can expect to have a great time if you stay here. You can also expect to gain some weight. There is great food everywhere.

The apartment is super clean, comfortably furnished, and well equipped for the cooking we wanted to do. There's a great view over the hills of Holmes County. We would have used the fire pit they have if it had just been a little warmer weather. Very centrally located to visit Amish country.

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful private apartment. . The location was fantastic. We could walk to Der Dutchman restaurant as well of a couple of nice gift shops and as it is right in the middle of Amish Country, there were attractions only a short drive in every direction. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed as well as adding extra welcoming touches. We highly recommend this place and will certainly plan to stay with them again.

Fredy and Leona are a super nice couple. The place is spacious and spot clean. I had my own entrance, kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. This place was not only like my own house, Fredy and Leona are like my friends too. You can ask anything about the neighborhood and their information was very helpful. Absolutely peaceful, clean and beautiful flowers everywhere. The decor is the perfect blend of farmhouse chic and modern. Fredy and Leona were very friendly and we really liked them. They left fresh peaches, donuts, fresh milk, orange juice and drinks. We never expected all of that! It was so nice. Can’t wait to go back!

What a lovely, restful oasis nestled in the quaint town of Sugarcreek, OH. Our hosts Leona and Freddy provided a very private, spacious apartment for our use. It was fastidiously clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Their attention to detail ensured we wanted for nothing. And their generosity was charming....we were welcomed with fresh peaches and orange juice! We were also delighted by a gift of some homegrown tomatoes. Yum! Most importantly to us, our hosts communicated effectively and efficiently (texts worked best for us), yet they were very conscientious about allowing us the utmost privacy. We sat out on the back porch and had coffee in the early morning as if we were the only couple on earth!
We feel blessed that Freddy and Leona opened their home to us. We plan to stay with them every time we visit the area!

My husband and I planned to cook our own meals, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a truly fully stocked kitchen! They had even put snacks and drinks out for us! The entire apartment was spotlessly clean, plenty of towels, TV with Netflix, very clean bathroom, and private patio with firepit! We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it all! Highly recommend as a couples get away! Fredy and Leona were kind, friendly, and generous hosts!

Everything was great. Clean, quiet, homey. Well-stocked kitchen. Leona even provided orange juice bottles for us. When it got a little warm they brought in a room air conditioner for our apartment, even though they hadn't turned on the A/C for their part of the house yet! We were very comfortable.
Very hospitable and helpful hosts. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We enjoyed our stay at Fredy and Leona's!
Beautiful big sunny kitchen equipped with everything you might need to make coffee or cook a meal ...and a full sized fridge for your groceries or leftovers. We spent most of our time in this room because it had lots of natural light, a rocking chair and a large table for reading or using our laptops. No seriously, this is a fabulous kitchen/ dining/all purpose hang-out room!
Good sized, clean bathroom with plenty of hot water and fresh towels.
Comfortable queen sized bed with a big comforter to keep you warm. A dresser and closet with hangers for storing your clothes during your stay.
Comfortable living room with comfy couches ...and a wood burning stove for a night in cuddling ...and watching TV.
Outdoor chairs and a fire pit for enjoying the Amish countryside.
Owners were friendly and communicated quickly with us.
The living room was a little dark because it is behind the kitchen in the middle of the house and has no windows.
The main road behind the house, seen in the pictures on the airbnb site, was busy and we could hear the traffic when outside, however, once inside, these noises were not noticeable.
We could hear normal family noises upstairs, walking and talking, when we were in the living room, bathroom and bedroom. This was expected because the family lives upstairs directly above these
The location was fantastic, we were right in the middle of Walnut Creek and enjoyed exploring the town.
We look forward to going back and checking out the renovated garage space when it is done! Overall a fabulous experience! Thank you!

Work brought me back to Ohio Amish Country. I would not hesitate to stay with Fredy & Leona again. The pictures and description of space do not do it justice. The Romantic Cottage was impeccably clean. You have the entire first floor to yourself, tastefully decorated and inviting. We were greeted very warmly upon check in.
My only regret was not being able to have the time to get to know Fredy & Leona. They were more than accommodating with my crazy work schedule and mishaps.. I ended my last workday with a flat tire ! They took the time to check in with me to make sure I was ok.

This was our first experience with Airbnb and Leona and Fredy set the bar very high. When we arrived we were greeted with soothing music, a great atmosphere, and fresh baked cookies and we had everything we needed. This was just the beginning of a great weekend. This one bedroom apartment was super clean, warm and cozy. The location was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the patio looking out over the rolling hills of Holmes County and the shops and restaurants were within walking distance. We certainly can't say enough about our hosts, either. They were great. The accommodations were much more than we expected. When we return to Holmes County, we hope to stay here again.

Fredy & Leona have a beautiful place! The space was practically a private one bedroom apartment which included a kitchen and dining space (that would make anyone jealous), a living space, and a walkout patio overlooking the valley. The space was clean and Freddy & Leona were very welcoming. They provided information about local eateries, replied quickly to our inquiries, and even had fresh baked cookies for us. It is my pleasure to review our stay at Fredy and Leona's lovely B&B.
This wonderful gem is exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway. It is much larger than we anticipated with ample living, kitchen, and dining areas. The bedroom was cozy and the mattress was perfect with bedding of high quality and comfort.
Soft music was playing upon our arrival and we found fresh flowers and yummy baked good waiting for us in the kitchen. The decor was beautiful and calming.
The outside gardens are beautiful and tranquil. We even got to see the horses that were grazing in the back field. I especially enjoyed sitting and rocking on the glider.
Freddy even offered to build a fire in the fire pit.
The location is great. You can easily walk to restaurants and shops.
I cannot compliment our gracious hosts enough. They truly will do all they can to insure that you have a perfect stay. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Holmes County!

Fredy and Leona are excellent hosts. They are gifted with hospitality. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommended. Candle was burning when we arrived. It looks and smells new inside.
The quarters are tastefully decorated in a modern with a touch of vintage style. Open design. Elegant farmhouse decor.
The place is very accessible. Mr. Fredy so graciously kindled the fire in the backyard pit and we had a delightful time with the hosts. They provided us a special time along with a fresh-made popcorn snack that we enjoyed with Fredy and Leona.
We'd definitely stay here again.
Spacious quarters. Clean. Very well-kept. All worked well with our 2-1/2 year old and baby.
