Home well stocked; paper towels, plates, spices, coffee,tea,TP,laundry detergent,soap,shampoo. everything was provided, you need not bring anything, except what you're going to cook and of course someone to cook it Hà Ha!
We had 3 of our grown grandkids, 1 of our great grands. plenty bedrooms, 2 baths. washer and 2dryers (One of the first things Grandma always looks for) space to move around. Having 2 porches was a major plus, back porch has a hot tub. views were beautiful.

The house was clean as was the hot tub. The grill and fire pit were in great condition. Covered deck and porches were lovely with a beautiful view. absolutely loved our stay here. such a nice place with a great deck an out door area. very peaceful and quiet yet not too far from things to do. host was very friendly and flexible which was a huge help as this was over a 5 hour drive for us to get there. Will absolutely book again in the future when I take another trip for a PSU game

Clean, well stocked rental in a quiet but well-situated location among the farms and forests of central PA. Very nice modern kitchen, comfortable beds. Lots of coffee, paper towels & even a bowl of fresh fruit were provided. Loved the grill, fire pit, hot tub and decks for outdoor relaxation. Near the lovely towns of Bellefonte and State College, with plenty of good options for dining and shopping. For the fishermen, Penns, Spring, Bald Eagle, and Fishing Creeks are all within a 30 min drive. We would happily return for another stay at Maple Hill Lodge.

Staying at this place was simply unforgettable. It was everything I hoped for and more — the perfect escape to rest and recharge. The peaceful surroundings made it feel like a hidden paradise, and I absolutely fell in love with the calm atmosphere. One of my favorite moments was sitting on the balcony in the early morning, sipping a warm cup of coffee while listening to the beautiful songs of the birds — pure magic. The house itself was incredibly cozy, tastefully decorated, and full of charm. Every detail made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Air B&Bs often do not look or feel like their website photos make them out to be but this place is an exception. If anything it exceeded our expectations. It is spacious, clean, peaceful and has lots of great outdoor space (balconies and patios). Its nicely secluded but still relatively easy to get to.
If you are looking for comfortable and private get away I highly recommend this place

We were in State College for our son’s state wrestling championships. Maple Hill Lodge was a perfect place to unwind after a long day at wrestling tournament. It was only a 27 minute drive to Bryce Jordan Center. It was a very relaxing and cozy house with great views from the porch. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the opportunity to use this comfortable house for a Thanksgiving get-together. Spring Mills is central for the family and it was a nice space for everyone to relax. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook a lot of traditional Thanksgiving foods, and plenty of plates and silverware for eating. Sadly the weather was COLD, so we did not get outside into the State Forest for hiking, though we did walk along the Creek Road.

Cozy, private house tucked into the woods. More than enough space for our family of four. The boys loved the large TV, stuffed bobcat, and extra toys and books. It was great to have access to the deck area, hot tub, and fire pit. Keurig machine stocked with K-cups kept us caffeinated and ready to go! Appliances were updated and clean, and we appreciated being able to do a load of laundry down in the basement. Very minor downsides (not enough to warrant less than 5 stars overall): main entry door was a bit finicky to lock and unlock; there were a number of ladybugs inside the house (could be a seasonal thing?); linens and towels were worn and could use replacing; only the one TV in the main living area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge! It was easy to get to, and was a beautiful, bright and clean home. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, and the cozy fireplace to take away the morning chill. There were lots of books, games and toys, although we didn't take advantage of them. We had great weather for sitting outside and observing the deer and birds from the deck, and enjoying the hot tub and fire pit in the evening. We also attended the Penn State game and found it a very manageable (27 minute ) trip. We hope to return again for our 2025 family PSU trip !

We had a wonderful stay at Landon’s property! The house is incredibly spacious, easily accommodating our group of 8. The property is beautifully situated in a serene countryside location, offering plenty of privacy and a relaxing atmosphere. Landon went above and beyond to provide a wide range of amenities, including paper plates and BBQ supplies, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The location is perfect, with several charming churches nearby. We attended the Sunday service at Faith Alive Fellowship Church, and it was truly a blessing. While the rural internet was a bit slow for work purposes, it was more than sufficient for streaming Netflix and YouTube.
The only issue we encountered was a defective lock on the backyard door, which made us a bit uneasy at night. I reported it to Landon, who assured us a technician would come to fix it, but unfortunately, no one came during our stay. Despite this, we still loved our time here and felt comfortable overall.

July 2022 We loved the property! Spent a weekend with extended family - 5 adults, 2 children, and there was plenty of room to spread out. It is never easy to get accommodations to Penn State on a busy weekend, but this house was 25 minutes from campus and situated on a hilltop with a great view. Checkin was easy. Big place. In a wooded very private area. Nice fire pit, with a lot of firewood. Good kitchen (wish it had some glasses). There was pet hair in the carpeted areas, often spiders inside, but that's all ok to be getting a feeling of a lodge. The owner was super quick to respond if we had questions.

We were only there for two days and didn't get to enjoy much of the Lodge, but it's a great little house. No TV's if that's important to you, but there is wifi. The drive up the lane isn't optimal if there is inclement weather and there are no lights on the lane, so getting there late the first night was a little adventurous. Other than that, we found everything in great working order and loved the comfy furniture and the great back deck. We would definitely recommend this place and we would stay here again.

Eli was very quick to respond to all of our questions and was very helpful. The house had everything we needed and the WiFi was adequate. Everything worked as it should and it was very clean. There were plenty of bed linens, towels, kitchen utensils, and other supplies. We also loved the setting which was secluded and quiet. We spent a lot of time on two large roofed decks and it was nice to know that even if it rained we could still enjoy being outside. We saw deer everyday and especially enjoyed it when they joined us for breakfast Saturday morning as we ate on the back deck. Were it not for the hot weather, we would have used the fire pit with the wood supplied by Eli. We were there for the Arts Festival at State College, , but the location is also within 30 minutes of several state parks, golf courses, and Tussey Mountain Ski Area. It's a great location for just about any outdoor activity you can think of. I am usually of the opinion that nothing deserves a 5 star rating, and I could nit pick if I wanted, but since we had everything we wanted it deserves a 5 in my book. I read an earlier review that mentioned a lack of some kitchen items. We found those things to now be present, which tells me Eli does aim to please, and I appreciate that. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to spend time in the State College area.

I give the experience 5 stars. The location was perfect for our getaway. The house has plenty of space and the covered back deck made our stay even more enjoyable due to the weather. I recommend staying here and would consider coming here again.

This is a great spot! Close enough to Penn State that it’s a great place for a gameday getaway.

Very comfortable with everything we needed for a great family weekend. Very clean! Outfitted with everything we needed to relax and enjoy each other. Enjoyed the balcony in the morning and the covered deck in the evening. Nice fire pit - with wood provided! Plenty of room, inside and out. Reasonably priced. We loved it! including our four-legged kids!
