The house and caboose were impeccably clean and offered ample space. The surrounding views were truly breathtaking, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The property featured a variety of friendly animals that could be fed with a bucket in the morning and evening, adding a charming touch to the experience. We loved our stay at the farm! What a serene, peaceful location. The landscape, views, and feeding the animals were our favorites. The caboose was fun to sleep in. We used the fire pit for cooking and also just to relax by at night. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had just what we needed. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family!

This place was so incredibly unique and peaceful. The views surrounding the property are amazing. The unit had everything we needed. Our daughter loved sleeping in the caboose and feeding the animals each day. The animals would come running over to the fence each time they saw her. We enjoyed the firepit each night and just relaxing. Landon was very responsive to any questions we had and provided helpful suggestions of places to eat/things to do in the area. We would love to stay here again!

We found the quiet and surrounding farm truly relaxing. Even though we drove sixty miles roundtrip each day, the drive was beautiful and relaxing. The only negative was the wifi being intermittent and the listed password was inaccurate. Overall, a good week.

Our kids absolutely loved staying in the caboose and feeding/petting the animals! There were a few things I wish we were better prepared for: bring your own water for washing hands/brushing teeth (like you would do camping) because the water here has a very strong sulfur smell; bring hand sanitizer as there is no “real” bathroom sink; and lastly, the loft is too high for small children so bring an extra air mattress and do not count on that for a bed for littles. Other than that, we could not have been happier! This will be a core memory for our boys!

We stayed here while my son was playing in Oneonta at the Cooperstown tournament. It was a little far to drive back and forth multiple times a day, but it was such a special place it was worth it. My younger son loved feeding the animals

A wonderful, rejuvenating experience!
The location, out in farmland, with breathtaking scenery was better than the pictures!
Children loved interacting with the animals for feed. It was exciting to have the goats and sheep run to the gate near the caboose whenever we stood by!
The house is small, but cozy and homey, clean and well-maintained. We loved sitting on the chairs out front, enjoying the splendid scenery and feeling the fresh breeze.
Though we like trying out new locations, this is one place we'd love to visit again!

We stayed at the Caboose for two nights for a comfy getaway with easy access to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. It was beautiful, peaceful, and watching the animals run after the feed was a great experience each day. Can’t recommmend this place enough.

Magical might be the best word to describe our stay-- to be able to sleep in a Caboose is fun enough, but to have it situated on a lovely (very well maintained) farm with sweeping views & big sky was indeed pure magic! We woke the first morning to rainbows coming & going-- full rainbows fading into double rainbows-- & later an almost full moon rising & lighting the sky! My family & I spent hours on the front lawn playing football & also just sitting & contemplating the beauty & listening to the birds & the breezes. We didn't even light the gas or wood fireplace, which would have been wonderful. The pictures we took of our children are instant classics and the time we had together refilled our souls. We cannot recommend this place enough & hope to come again soon! Thank you for sharing such an fun oasis with the world!

Absolutely incredible! This place is just as described and even more stunning than the photos can capture. You truly are surrounded by farm animals and over the course of our stay we even developed connections with some of them. The train car is charming and unique and the house is impressively constructed and comfortable. Usually at the end of a vacation we are all ready to get back home, but this is the first rental where we genuinely weren't ready to leave. You really have something special here and we can't wait to return. Thank you for everything.

This is my absolute favorite place to be. This is the spot for you if you love animals and are looking for privacy. The location was better than I had anticipated. My kids experienced life in the country and got to feed the animals. We all felt sad to go. I suggest that you visit this location.

Nothing was a surprise about this place , it was exactly as described. It was more adorable than the pics online. The beds in the house were comfy and I love the way it was decorated. I want to thank the farmers who shoveled the snow for us, too.

The airbnb is located in an idyllic setting. We took 2 grandkids for a long weekend and it snowed - they loved it: sledding, snowshoeing, & just walking around the property.
It was a safe location. Having a caboose & a loft in the station was fun for the kids (12 year olds). Landon was fantastic! I don't think I waited more than minutes for him to respond to my questions. There were complications to the week preceding our trip, and he was very flexible and fortunately everything worked out & we went a day early. I would definitely recommended this airbnb.

It's hard to put into words how amazing the Caboose property really is! My family and I went for two nights to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame--this turned out to be the perfect spot just 20 minutes away from Cooperstown, and smack dab in the middle of mountain views and friendly farm animals. We were given amazing weather over our two days to feed the farm animals (twice daily) and spend evenings roasting marshmallows at the firepit. Property host was responsive and cordial in our communications, and the property was spotless and everything was in working order upon arrival. Beds were comfy in both the main house and the caboose, and the heating in the caboose was suprisingly good to take the evening chill off. Dad was a superhero on this one having researched and booked the property--my wife and kids absolutely loved staying at the Caboose and we won't hesitate booking here again!

This was something out of a movie, we are already talking about when we can escape here again. There was not a tv but the WiFi worked perfectly and you did not need tv, bring a speaker and enjoy the surroundings. We got to enjoy a sunny day, a rainy day and then woke up to snow covering the ground. It was literally like waking up in a hallmark movie here. And the town is adorable. We cannot wait to go back

Great place to stay if you will be in the area. It was very clean and had all of the essentials. While we did have an issue with the heat and hot water, the owner Sam was quick to fix the issue. Landon did not offer much help with this problem, but he can only do so much as the remote property manager in this situation. Overall, it is a nice place to stay at and would do it again.

This was a FANTASTIC find!! The property itself is just so beautiful. We especially loved sitting outside at night with the fire going. The stars were AMAZING, and the animals on site were such a joy! And that was just the OUTSIDE! The inside was absolutely adorable and super clean. The attached caboose was such a neat idea. We will definitely return with our adult child and our grandchildren!!! Can't say enough wonderful things about this place! We LOVED it!!

We had an awesome weekend trip and can't wait to bring our kids next time! The cabin, caboose, and animals were so cool and made our stay super enjoyable. We went to the village restaurant in town and it was incredible. You have to check out Lee's Christmas store too - it's a must-see. The Secret Cavern's was only about 20 minutes away and it was totally worth it, we highly recommend it! We decided to take a drive to Lake George, about an hour and a half away, and went on one of Lake George Steamboat's evening dinner cruises. It was seriously amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer than just the weekend, we had such a great time.

A Complete Experience of Upstate NY lodging! Very peaceful and quaint, this unique Rail Lodging along with the farm just adds to the novelty of a quick getaway! Almost All Surrounding towns and farms in the area are very nice especially Cherry Valley, Canajoharie and Cooperstown. Highly recommended even for a second stint!

This is a very nice property on a quiet, peaceful landscape. The nearby animals at the farm only added to our peace.
Landon is very responsive when messaging and professional throughout the entire process. Check in, access, and check out were just as described and easy to follow.
We enjoyed our stay greatly. This area is located within a 25 minute drive of so many entertainment spots (Cooperstown/Baseball Hall of Fame/great breweries and wineries) as well as outdoor activities (caverns/hiking). If you are considering travel anywhere within this area, and are looking for peace, quiet, and nice accommodations, you need to have this place on your list.

What a perfect setting for us ... we so enjoyed the view while making s'mores over the fire. Short 25 minute drive to Cooperstown. Only suggestion is to add a little extra padding to the caboose beds. They are a bit hard.

My little family group, ranging from ages 1 to 71, had an amazing time at the cabin. My 6 year old was thrilled to sleep in a caboose, and the baby made friends with the horse, donkey and other farm animals that would come to visit at the fence.
The cabin is very cozy, the views are beautiful and the fire pit (w/ grill attachment) made for great evenings.
Lots of nice little amenities and touches, I highly recommend and hope to come back sometime.

Our family traveled from the midwest to visit Cooperstown and HOF. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet (minus the thunderstorms). Our son had a great time feeding and interacting with the animals and became fast friends with Jackie the Donkey. What 10 year old wouldn't love the caboose and the animals. Hosts were very responsive and the cabin was very clean and well appointed. We were glad we got the opportunity to enjoy the outside areas and the local sites as well.

We loved our stay. So peaceful and secluded. After my 10 yr old grandson got over the shock of no television (I liked it). He fell in love with the place, the animals (feeding them), playing in the grass, and of course the caboose. we spent 90% outside or in caboose. There’s no way I can say enough, we needed to get away, and that’s exactly what we got. We wondered how much we would actually get to interact with the farm animals and they were right there and as long as they wanted to come over, we could give them all the love we wanted. The views were breathtaking. It was so peaceful. The caboose was all we wanted it to be, it even had a few toys inside. We were going to go camping, but did this last minute instead, and the whole family was happy the entire time. We went out and bought local produce for dinner and yum! If you’re reading this, you will not be disappointed if you’re looking to relax, and if you’re looking to give the kids their own space. Landon, please tell Jackie and Pete we say hi!

We came to the area to go to the baseball hall of fame. The drive to town was about 20 minutes and very picturesque. The farm itself was a memory for all. Well constructed , well maintained and extremely clean rental. The fire pit are with great view, great seating and landscaping very appealing. This is a great place for all ages but with young children a treat. To live on a farm, feed the animals and sleep in a caboose.. What more would a child need.

Great place and an extremely peaceful and refreshing stay. We stayed for a long weekend and were met with a charming, quiet farm - great for relaxing, grilling, and relaxing. Landon was extremely proactive in his communication. We would definitely stay again.

Great peaceful setting. Amazing views. If you like secluded farm like atmosphere this is the place for you. Surrounded by open fields and farm animals this place is great. The caboose is a added bonus for the kids. We will definitely be back.

I took my two older sons to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and we were so lucky to find such a great place to enjoy! The house/train itself was amazing and the views were phenomenal. My boys loved the big yard to play in and we had many bean bag games. The farm animals were super fun to watch and interact with. I would highly recommend this place to stay! Also, we cooked some dinner on the outside stove - great times! The host (Landon) was available for any questions I had before and during our stay! Great host! Thanks!

We used to Live in Upstate NY and even built a Home there! Landon's Little Cabin felt like we were taking a trip down memory lane. From the Custom Amish built home to the Amish Neighbors to the beautiful Mountain Views to all the farm animals and Wildlife that visited. If you want the best uninterrupted night's sleep you've ever had, This Little Cabin is what you've been looking for! This Cabin helped me to get away from ALL the hustle and bustle and slow down a few notches just so I could think clearly. Thank You! We will be booking again our next trip to NYS

Awesome place.
House was cozy and warm and full of charm. Loved the decor. Kids loved the loft.
Caboose was a hit. And kids played there a lot. We didn’t need to use it as a sleeping place coz we had enough place in the house.
Farm animals were an additional amazing experience. I think kids loved it the most. It also kept them busy while we were cooking breakfast and dinner.
We spent evenings outside by the fireplace doing bbq, s’mores, enjoying the view, watching stars. Kids were able to find constellations. It was magical. Loved it!
Host was very helpful and fast to respond.
We would definitely be back (Actually kids are already asking ?).

You’ll need more than 2 nights to really enjoy this place! Feeding the farm animals was fun! Bring ice skates to enjoy frozen lake nearby. Place was very clean and it had EVERYTHING we needed!

The caboose was magical! It was surreal and fun to spend meals and the night in such a unique space that was also so warm despite it snowing/sleeting outside. The property is spacious, the animals were adorable and quirky. Would recommend this to anyone and would love to stay again!

We had a lot of fun! Our 2 and 4  year olds love trains. Our favorite memories are the kids playing outside on the caboose and feeding the animals and dinner in the caboose!
The caboose was chilly. It only got to 53F the first night and up to 60F the next day.  The only insulation is under the caboose so if you plan to sleep in it during winter you may want to bring extra warm blankets or sleeping bags. A space heater near the beds would help.
The cabin had everything we needed to cook and eat basic meals for our family for the weekend.  
 Sink Twice on the toilet tank was a first for us, but worked great!
Awesome sledding hill if there was snow and the property and animals were a huge hit with the kids.  
The gas fireplace outside is small,  but definitely an awesome perk.
The host (Landon) was very quick to respond with questions we had after booking and when we were at the property.

This was a great spot for a getaway. Kids would love that caboose experience and the nearby animals who were so nice to say hello when we arrived! We found it easy to get to Howe Caverns and the Fennimore Cooper Museum in Cooperstown. We saw some beautiful sunrises in such brilliant color. Very clean and comfortable!

Very bright, quaint cabin… the caboose was a hit w the kids, and a fun place to eat and plays games in the evening, however the beds in the caboose are very firm and not comfortable for an adult to sleep on. Only one sink in the entire cabin which made it a little difficult in the morning. The fire pit and cornhole was a nice bonus. Beautiful sunsets and a very nice Amish family which resides directly behind the caboose.
Landon was responsive with any concerns/questions we had.

A few high school friends of mine took a motorcycle road trip to landons Airbnb, it exceeded expectations. Super clean, private, plenty of cooking/cleaning supplies, comfortable beds, excellent communication. Would not hesitate to book again. Five stars.

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at this property for two nights. We had never been to this part of New York before and the drive up from Philadelphia was easy and the scenery along the way was really pretty. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The location was close enough to a wide variety of area attractions but far enough away for us to have a very peaceful time during our stay. The views from the property are gorgeous. We sat outside quite a bit soaking up the surrounding countryside. The firepit was a perfect place for grilling food and making S'Mores. At night the stars looked like they were right on top of you they were so bright. Our accommodations were great. We were very comfortable inside the cabin. We weren't lacking for anything. The Caboose is fantastic! You could tell it was restored with a lot of care. It was a fun place to hang out for our meals. The farm animals were an added bonus. Many of them came right up to us to be petted. All in all, I will say we were pleasantly surprised at this great find for a place to stay. I can see us coming up here to visit again to experience what the different seasons have to offer.
