Please Note:
1. Quiet hours for the property are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please keep the noise levels down over this time. No prom events/parties, even if an adult is willing to sign for the minor. Thank you for your understanding.
2. PET FRIENDLY: We love your furry friends! A fee of $150 per dog must be paid BEFORE the guest arrival date. There is a max of 2 dogs on the property and a max weight of 50 lbs. per dog. Sorry, but no cats or exotic animals are allowed in the home. If evidence of an unapproved (or unpaid for) pet is located on the property, there will be a $400 non-refundable fine. Please clean up after your pet in the yard (bring your own doggy waste bags) and in the home. Additionally, any pet brought to the property must not be left unattended in the home. If they are left at the property alone, they will need to be kept in a pet crate.
3. Please refrain from smoking inside the home! If any signs of smoking are documented, the renter agrees to pay $200.00 / per day.
4. Because the yurts are located up off the ground, windy days can cause the yurts to shake. This is not a concern and we assure you the yurts are solid stable structures that will not be blowing over;)
5. We offer 24/7 complimentary communication to ensure that your stay exceeds your expectations! Please feel free to reach out to us day or night, and we will provide you with a swift response.
6. There are NO LONG CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS! We want for you to be able to fully enjoy every minute of your stay!

Had a great weekend at the property! There were pros and cons (like every stay), but nothing that would prevent me from returning or recommending to another guest! Check in and out instructions were very clear and easy, hot tub at night in the stars was amazing, and we loved how quiet it was all weekend. Overall, lovely time!! Great glamping trip. They did provide 5 coffee pods for Keurig, but no individual creamer or sugar. Nor any tea bags for tea kettle. Towels are very small, as a heads up.

We had an incredible stay at Landon’s yurt for a birthday getaway with our little family — my wife, our baby, and our dog. The space was cozy and peaceful, perfect for unplugging and enjoying nature. The scenic views from the hot tub were absolutely stunning, especially with the snow falling around us. We came for Groundhog weekend. The Yurt was extremely clean, adorable and very private. The Yurt met our needs for a weekend and wish the weather was better to enjoy the fire pit and hot tub. Bed was very comfortable and the sheets and towels were very nice. The mini fridge doesn’t have a freezer but it was so cold we made our own ice! Lol. This was probably the cleanest Air bnb. we have ever stayed in. It snowed overnight and the road was plowed. There was a shovel and ice melt provided. I would highly recommend!

We didn’t want to leave. It was better than described. We were able to sleep under the stars (through small window up top) and woke up to a gorgeous sunrise. The space was clean, well decorated and surprisingly roomy. It made me want to move to this charming place in the middle of nature. The hot ton was an added bonus. Landon was super responsive and recommended dinner at Luigi’s, which was a 30 minute drive but totally worth it. A unique experience!

This is the second time I have stayed in these yurts and will likely be back! The yurts are spaced out enough to not feel too close to neighbors and the views make you forget you even have neighbors. The yurts are close enough that renting them out with friends would be fun while still having your own space. The space and amenities offered make it easy to lose track of time there for a wonderful little get away! Lovely little getaway.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Horizon. The place was so nice and peaceful . The hot tub was so relaxing and the sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. Unfortunately it rained much of the last 2 days but we were able to enjoy the walking trail with my dogs and the bbq and sitting on the deck before. Thank you Landon for making our visit so easy. Horizon Hideout was absolutely wonderful! The views are incredible (the sunrise is AMAZING from the back deck!) and the yurt is so adorable (incredible attention to detail!)! It was very cold and snowy during our trip and the driveway had been plowed, the steps and deck shoveled and it was definitely plenty warm inside! (Except maybe the floor got a little chilly, but that makes sense!) My favorite thing was that you really felt like you were away somewhere magical, even though we were less than 2 hours from home! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

It was very expensive, I think, for a winter rental. However, the hot tub was splendid morning and night, especially with the snowflakes dancing down. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was generously large (given that it's a yurt), and kitchen was sufficient for our needs; yet note the lack of freezer and oven. The land offered more than we could honor, especially given the sharp cold. I wanted to make a fire in the nice firepit, but again, the cold that weekend prevented me. The yurt is beautifully built to be minimal and functional; the wind, when strong, could hardly penetrate the canvas wall behind us, yet the heating unit truly struggle to keep pace with the brisk temperature. In an ideal world, we would have been warmer. Our hound, Fergus, was happy (though note that the floors are hardwood, so bring a dog bed) and even refrained from barking while his people were in the hot tub. Good privacy, though one might look around before stepping naked into it. We left happy.

Amazing experience from the moment I reserved my stay! I received all the information needed by Landon. From how to check in to amenities and as someone that wasn't familiar with the area I appreciated the list of places to go, restaurants, nearest hospital in case of emergency etc. The place was exactly like the pictures and it was a very relaxing weekend from enjoying the fire pit to seeing the sunset in the hot tub and relaxing in bed while watching some TV. If you're looking to just disconnect from a hectic life this is the place to go. ?

We can’t say enough great things about Landon’s yurt! We were looking for a peaceful, quiet, and unique place to get away for a weekend and his place was perfect for that! Unfortunately it rained the whole weekend so we did not get to use the wonderful amenities the property had to offer- which we were very sad about but it gives us a great reason to return!! Cannot say enough about Horizon Hideout!! So easy to check in and out. The yurt had everything we needed for our stay. The property was immaculate, both inside and out. The layout gives you a real sense of privacy. Couldn’t hear neighbors at all. My only “gripe” is the $150 pet fee as we have a toy Yorkie - seems excessive but par for the course for today’s economy. Overall, the entire trip was PERFECT and we will definitely be back!!! Highly recommended!!

My husband and I stayed in Landon's Yurt for our 30th Anniversary and a much needed vacation from a very hectic life. The property had the most beautiful views, privacy, peacefulness. It was exciting to watch the local wildlife from the comfort and warmth of the hot tub. The yurt itself was totally amazing with every possible comfort you could think of. We will definitely recommend Landon's Yurts to our friends. We definitely see a return trip in our future. Thank you Landon for allowing us to stay in your beautiful yurt.

Beautiful, quiet, and private getaway perfect for a couples honeymoon or vacation. Felt protected from the elements yet so close to nature with all amenities of a studio. Surprisingly fast internet and compact yet sufficient kitchen for meals for two. Will definitely stay again!

My husband and I stayed at Landon’s place for our 2nd anniversary! Everything was spectacular. Very beautiful, would love to return in the future. Definitely great stay for those who want to get away and enjoy peace and quiet. Only didn’t hear back about trying to get code to work for the private creek we were extremely interested in checking out. Everything else was just amazing!

Get away from it all!
I came across this amazing Yurt on VRBO and fell in love immediately! Hubby and I needed to get away from the normal everyday stresses and this was perfect! Every detail to this Yurt inside and out was beyond amazing! We are making this Horizontal Hideaway our spot! Can't thank you enough!

What a wonderful place to spend time with God and his beautiful creation. Oh and if you are looking to get engaged to that special person in your life what a backdrop. The views were beautiful and I'm sure they are even more breathtaking at different times of the year. The interior of the yurt matched the photos very accurately. My only complaint is a very tiny fridge with no ice or freezer. The wildlife was extremely neat to see with wild turkeys, white-tailed deer and even some black bears. Definitely would visit again in a heart beat. Landon is a wonderful host with a really unique property. 1 of a kind.

“Heavenly” Horizon Hideout was truly a fantastic place to get away from everything and enjoy God’s beauty. Beautiful views of the Allegheny Mountains from the picture windows and spacious deck. Inside, nearly everything you need is available in the efficient kitchenette, combined living/bedroom space and ample bathroom. Natural wood floors and walls are accented by comfortable chairs and side tables. The kitchen bar style wooden table seemed a bit small and low at first, but the views out of the window while eating or playing cards proved just right. Outside, of course the hot tub was amazing and the deck chairs were very comfortable. Didn’t mind a few rainstorms and enjoyed the raindrops on the roof and skylight window. Didn’t use the grill or fire pit but there’s plenty of split wood available. Only thing missing was some paper towels and maybe a couple of kitchen towels and coasters. Also it looked like the screen door needs to be installed and hopefully has a shade. We’ll be back!

Landon's yurt exceeded our expectations on every level; it was even more stunning than the photos. To say that the yurt was well appointed is an understatement. Had a great weekend at the property! There were pros and cons (like every stay), but nothing that would prevent me from returning or recommending to another guest! Check in and out instructions were very clear and easy, hot tub at night in the stars was amazing, and we loved how quiet it was all weekend. Overall, lovely time!! Great glamping trip. They did provide 5 coffee pods for Keurig, but no individual creamer or sugar. Nor any tea bags for tea kettle. Towels are very small, as a heads up.

We had an incredible stay at Landon’s yurt for a birthday getaway with our little family — my wife, our baby, and our dog. The space was cozy and peaceful, perfect for unplugging and enjoying nature. The scenic views from the hot tub were absolutely stunning, especially with the snow falling around us. Our pup and I loved exploring the nearby trails, and the yurt itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’d definitely love to come back again someday!

The place is Beautiful. The road leading up to the location was pretty icy and slick, but taking it slow is beneficial anyway to take in the stunning surroundings. The Yurt is extremely well kept and has everything you need. Already hoping to make a trip back!

Had a great time, nice a private space with an amazing view. It snowed while we were there and they had the snow cleared well enough for my front wheel drive car to make it out. The hot tub was awesome and overall a great time.

Landon’s place was unbelievably perfect!! The space was clean and organized, the views were to die for, and it was very private. It had snowed the night before we had to leave and Landon ensured it was clear for us to safely get out. All in all it was a wonderful little vacation and I will most definitely be coming back!

We came for Groundhog weekend. The Yurt was extremely clean, adorable and very private. The Yurt met our needs for a weekend and wish the weather was better to enjoy the fire pit and hot tub. Bed was very comfortable and the sheets and towels were very nice. The mini fridge doesn’t have a freezer but it was so cold we made our own ice! Lol. This was probably the cleanest Air bnb. we have ever stayed in. It snowed overnight and the road was plowed. There was a shovel and ice melt provided. I would highly recommend!

We didn’t want to leave. It was better than described. We were able to sleep under the stars (through small window up top) and woke up to a gorgeous sunrise. The space was clean, well decorated and surprisingly roomy. It made me want to move to this charming place in the middle of nature. The hot ton was an added bonus. Landon was super responsive and recommended dinner at Luigi’s, which was a 30 minute drive but totally worth it. A unique experience!

This is the second time I have stayed in these yurts and will likely be back! The yurts are spaced out enough to not feel too close to neighbors and the views make you forget you even have neighbors. The yurts are close enough that renting them out with friends would be fun while still having your own space. The space and amenities offered make it easy to lose track of time there for a wonderful little get away! Lovely little getaway.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Horizon. The place was so nice and peaceful . The hot tub was so relaxing and the sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. Unfortunately it rained much of the last 2 days but we were able to enjoy the walking trail with my dogs and the bbq and sitting on the deck before. Thank you Landon for making our visit so easy. I highly recommend!!

Horizon Hideout was absolutely wonderful! The views are incredible (the sunrise is AMAZING from the back deck!) and the yurt is so adorable (incredible attention to detail!)! It was very cold and snowy during our trip and the driveway had been plowed, the steps and deck shoveled and it was definitely plenty warm inside! (Except maybe the floor got a little chilly, but that makes sense!) My favorite thing was that you really felt like you were away somewhere magical, even though we were less than 2 hours from home! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

It was very expensive, I think, for a winter rental. However, the hot tub was splendid morning and night, especially with the snowflakes dancing down. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was generously large (given that it's a yurt), and kitchen was sufficient for our needs; yet note the lack of freezer and oven. The land offered more than we could honor, especially given the sharp cold. I wanted to make a fire in the nice firepit, but again, the cold that weekend prevented me. The yurt is beautifully built to be minimal and functional; the wind, when strong, could hardly penetrate the canvas wall behind us, yet the heating unit truly struggle to keep pace with the brisk temperature. In an ideal world, we would have been warmer. Our hound, Fergus, was happy (though note that the floors are hardwood, so bring a dog bed) and even refrained from barking while his people were in the hot tub. Good privacy, though one might look around before stepping naked into it. We left happy.

Amazing experience from the moment I reserved my stay! I received all the information needed by Landon. From how to check in to amenities and as someone that wasn't familiar with the area I appreciated the list of places to go, restaurants, nearest hospital in case of emergency etc. The place was exactly like the pictures and it was a very relaxing weekend from enjoying the fire pit to seeing the sunset in the hot tub and relaxing in bed while watching some TV. If you're looking to just disconnect from a hectic life this is the place to go. ?

We can’t say enough great things about Landon’s yurt! We were looking for a peaceful, quiet, and unique place to get away for a weekend and his place was perfect for that! Unfortunately it rained the whole weekend so we did not get to use the wonderful amenities the property had to offer- which we were very sad about but it gives us a great reason to return!! Cannot say enough about Horizon Hideout!! So easy to check in and out. The yurt had everything we needed for our stay. The property was immaculate, both inside and out. The layout gives you a real sense of privacy. Couldn’t hear neighbors at all. My only “gripe” is the $150 pet fee as we have a toy Yorkie - seems excessive but par for the course for today’s economy. Overall, the entire trip was PERFECT and we will definitely be back!!! Highly recommended!!

Get away from it all!
I came across this amazing Yurt on VRBO and fell in love immediately! Hubby and I needed to get away from the normal everyday stresses and this was perfect! Every detail to this Yurt inside and out was beyond amazing! We are making this Horizontal Hideaway our spot! Can't thank you enough!

What a wonderful place to spend time with God and his beautiful creation. Oh and if you are looking to get engaged to that special person in your life what a backdrop. The views were beautiful and I'm sure they are even more breathtaking at different times of the year. The interior of the yurt matched the photos very accurately. My only complaint is a very tiny fridge with no ice or freezer. The wildlife was extremely neat to see with wild turkeys, white-tailed deer and even some black bears. Definitely would visit again in a heart beat. Landon is a wonderful host with a really unique property. 1 of a kind.

“Heavenly” Horizon Hideout was truly a fantastic place to get away from everything and enjoy God’s beauty. Beautiful views of the Allegheny Mountains from the picture windows and spacious deck. Inside, nearly everything you need is available in the efficient kitchenette, combined living/bedroom space and ample bathroom. Natural wood floors and walls are accented by comfortable chairs and side tables. The kitchen bar style wooden table seemed a bit small and low at first, but the views out of the window while eating or playing cards proved just right. Outside, of course the hot tub was amazing and the deck chairs were very comfortable. Didn’t mind a few rainstorms and enjoyed the raindrops on the roof and skylight window. Didn’t use the grill or fire pit but there’s plenty of split wood available. Only thing missing was some paper towels and maybe a couple of kitchen towels and coasters. Also it looked like the screen door needs to be installed and hopefully has a shade. We’ll be back!

Landon's yurt exceeded our expectations on every level; it was even more stunning than the photos. To say that the yurt was well appointed is an understatement. Landon's attention to detail was much appreciated. The yurt and hot tub, nestled in such a peaceful location, provided a unique, restful and relaxing experience. We will most definitely be back in the fall.
