The hosts were very communicative, and when I had a concern before our stay, they were responsive and took care of the concerns. The place was comfortable and welcoming. It rained most of the weekend so we spent a good amount of time playing pool, watching football and enjoying the cabin. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great home base for our PA Grand Canyon biking and hiking adventures. I loved the porch with views of the mountain. I was hoping the creek out back would be viable for rafting and swimming, but it had recently flooded and was pretty muddy. While there are 4 bedrooms, 2 of them are in the basement and have a slightly musty smell. The kitchen is very spacious and well appointed. Would definitely stay again.

The property is very nicely decorated and offers many extras to make the stay comfortable: coffee, light snacks, firewood, plenty of bedding and towels, great kitchen utensils, etc. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, including the fire pit and the creek access. Some slight disadvantages are the location on the highway (the truck traffic is especially loud) and some broken items (one of the few chairs around the fire pit and the air hockey table, most notably). On the other hand, the house is only a short drive from downtown Wellsboro, which has lots of great restaurants, and the parks that offer great views of the Canyon. Overall, I would highly recommend this rental.

Beautiful place with a huge lawn with a fire pit and a gazebo. The cabin is surrounded by beautiful mountains and a running creek. The place was clean and spacious. We loved the ambiance and the proximity to Wellsboro in case we needed to grab food.

Our stay at Misty Mountain Cottage was fantastic. We arrived on Friday (the owner was flexible with our arrival time due to a special request). Gaining entrance was fast and easy. The location was clean and tidy and met all our needs. The pavilion was a great touch next to the fire pit and the stream. We never located the pond that was listed in the description but enjoyed the local streams (lots of fish) and wildlife (turkeys, raccoons, and deer). Upon checkout on Monday there were a few simple exit instructions. It was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had.

My family and I had a great stay. Was just what we were looking for, a place to relax and unwind. My brother loved the pool and air hockey tables! The scenery was beautiful and definitely worth a trip out there.

Good spot, very cozy!! Perfect to escape the busy city, it was equipped with everything necessary. Just take in mind that if you come with a big group that is only one full bathroom. Host is very communicative. Would love to come back.

My family and I had a great time at this place. Everything was clean and looked exactly as pictures..
spacious and comfortable, worth every penny. The surrounding beautiful and peaceful… the outside gazebo with fire pit was the perfect spot to just relax and enjoy the view. Definitely recommend this place.. ??

Had a wonderful stay here overall! Came up for the Dickens of a Christmas event in Wellsboro. The house was difficult to determine in the rainy/foggy night upon arrival (even with Host's mention of driveway being on the left before the mailbox (we weren't sure if it was down to the left or right when pulling off the road [thrown by the realty sign and glow of night lights inside making us think someone lived there]). House was clean and immaculate, safe, peaceful, relaxing, and enjoyed by all 8 of us. The long dining table was perfect for a meal, and boardgame time to wind down with before bed. We even enjoyed the 2 levels of bedrooms, as it was a nice separation for family members with differing energy levels.
Having a laundry room in the bathroom is a nice convenience (although we luckily did not need to utilize it for our weekend) and while we noticed issues with plumbing (some faucets, like the shower, were plumbed backwards so hot is cold & cold is hot) we enjoyed our wknd home

My husband and my adult daughters were there to visit the PA Grand Canyon and this was a very comfortable and cozy home. Very clean and had everything we needed. Good communication with the owner the entire time. Definitely recommend to stay here. A very nice family getaway.

We stayed for a long weekend, and it was so peaceful & relaxing. The view of the waterfront from the home and gazebo was stunning. We had one rainy day in, and having the view from the back covered deck made us enjoy that day much more than we anticipated. The home is so close to many attractions that we enjoyed. The owner provided lots of fuzzy blankets, comfortable bedding, excellent bath towels, and some treats in the kitchen like my favorite hot cocoa. We are already planning to return. ??

This space worked perfectly for a group of friends in town for a wedding. The house was easy to find and plenty of parking for everyone. There were some moths and centipedes in the house, but slightly expected that with the location you were at. Overall a beautiful house and perfect for our group.

This property worked out very well for our family of 10. The property had plenty of space, more than enough towels, blankets and kitchen and bath items provided. Our favorite part - the privacy of the property, the abundance of land and the views. The views of the mountains were the cherry on top of this getaway.

An older home with some very nice facelifts, very clean, with plenty of extras and so close to PA Grand Canyon...Loved the property! The property manager was very helpul and quick to respond when the hot water heater pilot light was out. Definitely would consider staying here again.

Home was very nice - just as described, nice decor and fit our entire party perfectly. We came to Wellsboro from out of state for the Conquer the Canyon marathon, and the start and finish were less than a mile away. The area is beautiful and the backyard was peaceful and nice. The place was easy to find and easy to access.

Great spot for our group, would return in the future.
One issue was that the pool table surface is warped, the balls do not move as they should. Another is that the house seems a bit slapped-together, inside you can see small gaps in between some of the walls between rooms and floors from level to level where light passes through. But neither of these problems were significant enough to be a problem for our group, it served as a great homebase for us in between hikes and through the cold winter nights. The kitchen was roomy enough for 3 to 4 of us to easily navigate at the same time as we prepared dinner together. Would come back in a warmer season to better enjoy the large backyard space alongside the creek.
Hosts were very accommodating and responsive to messages!

We had a lovely stay at "Misty Mountain". The host's description of the place and all amenities was accurate. The place's decor was tastefully done. Staying during the winter we didn't use the outdoor space but during warmer temps it has a great outdoor space.
A couple things I would point out.... Shower water pressure was very minimal. There is lots of pressure until you turn on shower. Also, the pool table seemed warped, four out of the six pockets sloped in.
Overall it was a nice place and not far from the many things to do in Wellsboro and visiting the Canyon.

This property is exactly as advertised, immaculate, comfy, and well stocked! We rented two houses side by side and it was great for a bigger group. The hosts were great with communication and very responsive. We would gladly stay again!

Very spacious and very clean! Had everything you could think of, and more! Amazing views from the back deck. Small pavilion with picnic area and fire pit in the yard. Peaceful and slow moving creek through the property as well. Owners go above and beyond with amenities!! Located close to town and to PA Grand Canyon. It was right along a State Route, so road noise did take away from the peaceful scenery. However, it would not keep us from returning again and again!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is awesome with Wellsboro and hiking at Colton and Leonard Harrison State Parks so close. The views out the back were amazing too! We really enjoyed how stocked up the house was with things like plastic bags for our packed lunch and water bottles we could take hiking. Thanks!

I had many questions about the property prior to my stay and the host answered all of them quickly. Additionally, the home and the location of the home were phenomenal ans provided a very relaxing stay. One quick note is that the driveway is initially hard to find, so keep a lookout for it.

This cottage is set in very convenient location for those looking to hike and to explore the local towns. Wellsboro and Coudersport are wonderful, and several trails are just minutes away. Host was very accommodating and is very knowledgeable about the area.
We stayed with the maximum amount of people the cottage allows and we were all still very comfortable. Great for an outdoors weekend with friends or family.

It was nice to have everything we needed provided at our stay including: toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, plates and cookware, sandwich bags, bed sheets and towels etc. Relaxing backyard with a nice view. There is a gazebo with a fire pit that we used to make smore's. Bring your cornhole and backyard games and enjoy! Very clean!

We were in for a weekend of chaos heading to PA for a wedding and found relaxation and tranquility at Misty Mountains! There was something right at the cottage for all of us! From my kids, the friends we brought and my in-laws! The games room brought some of the best laughs, and created some memories that will never be outdone. We didn’t have enough time to play all of the family games that were provided but we will return and make sure we take advantage of them! Communication between host and guest was practically instant! Instructions on the website and what was left at the cottage made everything easy! The cottage certainly lives up to its name as when I awoke in the morning I went to the back yard to enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee and was mesmerized by the mist falling over the mountain view! We didn’t have enough time in 2 days to enjoy all of the amenities or see enough of Wellsboro, we will be retuning, and we will be staying here again! Since we were in PA for a wedding we knew several others that rented cottages, they all wanted to gather at ours after the wedding, spacious and entertaining for everyone! Thank you so much for making a chaotic weekend beautiful!
